Why do you want to rest Dravid? He was the Centurion of the 1st test. You take rest yourself for ever.

his first 20 runs came in 100 balls, pls accept that this gentleman dravid is definitely struggling of late. Why not pick better/younger players like pujara who seem to be in sublime form currently!?
Why don't you also see Dravid's performance in the recent past beyond that century in last match?

if he scored 20 in the first 100 deliveries he faced, he also scored 80 off the next 120 (By the way in the same innings Tendulkar scored 22 in the first 100 deliveries that he faced)
Also, if scoring 4 and 72 in a test means Pujara is in sublime form, then scoring 104 and 1 in a test makes Dravid in sublime form as well.

Hello, don't see just 1 match, see recent match scores of both players. Moreover Pujara was given out in the first innings due to ridiculous umpiring.
If you keep arguing and supporting Dravid forever, then India can never find better players. Dravid is not the end of the road!

bhajji if not takin wickets, he chips in with his bat. But I feel Aswin could be given a chance to become another Kumble because Ojha does not really look like a Kumble/Warne material.

why dhoni HOW MUCH HAS HE SCORED IN ONE DAYERS, TESTS AND ANY FORM OF CRICKET IN THE LAST FIVE SIX MONTHS.
Not only Gambhir.. it happens with all other players.. every great player might have undergone this type of phase.. sehwag, sachin, dravid, laxman every one had this type of phase in thier carrer.. Dont worry it hardly takes one good inninings from him to come back and hope that it will happen in Hyderabad only who knows....!!

Perfect 11 . Fully agree with you on Dravid & Laxman. But reality is that neither will be in the team & India will fare misrebly in the world cup.
Let's not do post mortem...if Gambhir is not performing we hv enough of talent waiting in benches...Not that he is bad and not performed..Give others a chance too and give Gambhir a break, you might end up getting another Sachin or Laxman...Get Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Poojara..let the selector's see through a Horses eye.
Gambhir and Dhoni must be rested and be replaced by Murli Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara.Similarly, Dravid must be rested and replaced by Dinesh Kartik.Apply the same yardstick as done to Yuvraj.Today we have a good bench strength and we must not hesitate to make quick changes irrespective of which player is involved.Only then will the real available talent will come out and all those treating test matches as "time pass" will be on their toes.Looks from one of the ads of Sameera Reddy and Yuvi that Yuvi has yet not learnt a lesson.Don't worry about such players. We have enough players to take his place.
