Jadeja is a big liar and he is fooling the BCCI!!
by V M on May 27, 2010 03:54 AM  | Hide replies

Jadeja has forgotten to mention that the so called restaurant was a bar& restaurant. The name says it all - Tequila Joe's!! Even though he, Raina, Chawla & Vijay did not have a glass in their hands, all the rest of his team mates did - Nehra was drunk and fell to the floor, Zaheer and Yuvraj were running after some women, Rohit was like a kid who was lost with in one hand and a cigarette in the other. They had the audacity to all this even though India had been knocked out of the tounament. They were at this bar till past 1.00 am on the 12th of May.

Yuvraj is the kingpin of this gang. For him, it does not matter whether India has won or lost the match - he needs to go out and party. Such is player is unfit to wear the Indian colors. I have seen him behave like this in the past.

That still does not justify bad behavior on the drunk fans' part. People need to stop being childish and emotionally dependent. This is just a game!

I wholeheartedly agree with you. But all the same the players too need to know how to tone it down especially when they have played badly and have been knocked out of a World Cup!! They are wearing the Indian colors!!

Buddy, if they don't perform, let them be dropped. We are guessing based on body language whether they care about india losing or not. Different people have different techniques for handling pressure and unwinding. Moreover these guys are playing constantly. So are we to assume they should be sad and sorry when we lose ?. Maybe i am unreal & i don't get it.I think they are human too and deserve to take a break. Indian media and fans need to mature up first.

What happens if you don't do your work, you are reprimanded isn't that correct? Now add the fact that you are also representing your country, that makes it even worse. To top it , you make amockery of public loyalty by drinking and dancing when the country is angry at the " no effort" performance. Winning or losing is part of the game. But effort is not an exception when you represent India.

Does anyone abuse Leander or Saina Nehwal when they lose playing for India?

Varun-you are right,on field performance has got nothing to do with them taking a break..but they are NOT any common fellow.when they go abroad, they represent a whole nation..whether they like it or not-they have a huge responsibility.winning and losing is part of any game..but conduct has to be maintained-when u are in a national team.these players are public figures-abuse,admiration..is all part of the business.

BCCI playing politics again
by Sushil Kumar on May 27, 2010 12:18 AM

BCCI knows people are frustrated with the loss. They want to redirect the anger away from themselves, so they are playing this blame game. The players are certainly at fault for not maintaining fitness, but BCCI is also at fault for not implementing proper checks.

What about Srikanth - He messed up whole indian team
by sreenivasulu reddy on May 27, 2010 12:05 AM  | Hide replies

Looks like Rediff is chennai based. They diverted the whole attention by publishing these kinds of articles. The actual problem was India lost very badly in World Cup. Everyone knows that Srikanth should take the responsibility. Instead of resigning, Srikanth started this whole thing so as to cover himself. Everyone knows Srikanth made blunders by selecting tamil nadu players Murali Vijay and Dinesh karthik. These two are the reasons why india lost very badly. Now Rediff started these articles to divert from actual issue. I believe Srikanth is not going to resign

You bet Srikanth is not going to resign. Because his objective is not to select the best team to make India win, but to select as many Tam-Brahms as possible. Typical Tam-Brahm attitude.

If the whole team is failed, then Srikanth should take more resposibility. He is the one who selected the whole team along with another tamilian Srinivasan ( I believe Srinivasan was accused of match fixing)

You are correct. Every time Srikanth gets a chance to select, he selects only Tam-Brahms, among 100s of other capable players. He selected Sadagopan Ramesh earlier, now Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik...all tam-brahms. He should he held responsible for India's fiasco.

Roopal Vaish,
Well, I am sure you know the world consumers or customers.Cricket fans are consumers that can not be taken lightly.

V SR,
Had you worked for professional organization, you wont have used the sentences---No one assures positive result...

Well, in way nothing is certain,; but people makes efforts, they give fight do not chicken out.

I can understand the anger of those fans--they want performances from these so called professional sportsman.

The point is players like Dhobi, Jadega are hyped by people of their states, and there was a need to make stop them from day dreaming.

...for all to see and judge, even the smallest celeb or person with power in our country,eg. a havaldar, uses his hands with full freedom on the 'aam junta',therefore it is not hard to believe that these cricketers could not digest the taunts or remarks passed by the US-NRI'S and let their hands do the talking, but they forgot that they are not on sub-continent soil and that could lead to other circumstances and bad publicity.Anyhow, the cricketers or other celebs will not change their ways as they can get away with crap in our country,in the west they would have their ass sued in court and end up shelling out millions.BCCI is not going to do anything with respect to disciplining these guys and idiot fans will come around after a couple of wins...that's the TRUTH.

They going to a a Pub is such a sin ? After all it was after the match not before as some other teams do.
If there was smoke, some one did lit the fire.It is obvious that it was not the Indian Team. Fans have every right to get frustrated, but it would have a better gesture if they said "better luck next time" . the other teams played well ,they exploited the conditions and Indian teams' weakness in handling short deliveries. Like Sachin once said, fans should not get over emotional in these situations, you cant win all matches. No one plays to lose.

Indians as a people are always emotional about cricket coz it is not just a sport...secondly a thing called 'satta' makes all players go weak in the knees and even the greatest have been known to fall for the 'money-bait',and that my friend is the whole truth, rest all is dialouge-baazi

I feel fans have every right to behave in this way because these crickers are enjoying five star facilities and great income from advertisment because of Indian Fans...Who travel around the world to see India Win....
I am not saying that India can win every time they play but as Those people are representing 120 Crore people they should have played their best cricket...As every kid in India knows that Indian Bats man canot play short pitched balls they would have prepared for It.Because last time also we have been out of tournment because of this weakness.

This is pure rackless behaviour from our players....they earn lot of money in IPL and Through advertisment. So they have lost interest in Cricket...

As a Indian it feels bad when India lose because of low commitment to win matches.

I wish in Future Indian players play with good sprit to Win.

What do you mean by "better luck next time". For the luck to favor, you must have the right attitude. Indian players head is always focused on after-match booze and party.

And Indian team has people from dubious backgrounds such as Yuvraj. His father, another arrogant cricketer Yograj was an accomplice for Manu, the murderer..
