Seems it looking good that now A grade Cricketers has earning in above 80 carores thats why they are not taking seriously to perform well.. it means Cricket=only source of Earning High Money what a nice Job(no pressure of Boss)
LG, To put in a nutshell what I would personally suggest to all cricket lovers is don't worship him so much that he is paid 80 crores annually for non-cricketing reasons (leave alone the rest of the payments viz. attendance money for functions, etc), and don't ride him down for a couple of losses. What say to that ??

LG, and then what ? Naman Ojha (if he performs) will be put on a pedestal, given endorsements, and then the same old story....

I do not think so, it depends on person's character and upbringing. I agree with you, players should not be put on pedestal based on their success against weak oppositions and on slow pitches.
When someone earn fame that he deserves, he usually do not lose ground and of course upbringing also helps. Example is Sachin.

Sachin - I agree - but those times have gone, I dont think the present crop of cricketers have the discipline in them to keep a firm head on their shoulders. Sachin was an exception, the last of the lot.
Per annum income for Dhoni. That is why he is not finding time to attend Sports award function even though available in Delhi at particular time. One more thing:- Rediff should also declare how much amount he paid for taxes? OR even paid or not?
Now we know why Dhoni fared poorly as a captain and also as a batsman in T20 world cup. Dhoni should have come out with this earlier instead of giving IPL party excuses. That could have eliminated a lot of controversial remarks.

LG, I am pretty sure that I am not a devoted follower of Dhoni :D.
I agree that he is a mediocre player, but the fact remains that it was a pretty poor team this time. I dont think any captain would have won with the kind of jerks that got into the team.
Just reflect: On what basis was Vijay selected ? IPL ? If so then why were Gambhir, Bhajji and Yuvi selected and why was Ojha not selected ? Past Glories ? If so then why as Utthappa not selected ? - see, the questions can go on.
I am against blind worshipping of Dhoni, and also blindly thrashing him. Keep aside Dhoni, can u tell me one captain who could have led this bunch to any victory ?

LG, Srikanth and co are experienced enough to overrule his decision if they had applied their cricketing brains (just as in the case when they overruled his decision to select RP Singh - where he supposedly threatened to resign, but did not do so)
The captain alone cannot select a team - that is for sure....now u r making me sound like a hardcore Dhoni fan :D

Let us all take our great LG's advice and stop enjoying mediocrity and hyping mediocre people to no limit and that way let us contribute to India to becoming a developed nation.
LG, Is it enough to stop enjoying mediocrity and hyping people to no limit? Or do we need to do something else towards India becoming a developed nation?
