No I did not mean that. It equates to 20 million USD a year. This is roughly comparable to what top footballers earn. I did not realize that cricketer are also so well paid.
I think the companies shld put a disclaimer that at any time the "star" loses form or plays in a pathetic way, they can stop the payment for that quarter...!

I agree.. even though advertising and cricket are separate entities.. He should remember that all endorsements will remain only as long as he continues to play well..

I would like all other companies to follow Sujatha Biotech and dont pay him any money at all. Instead dhoni should pay back the money since he is not performing on the national level. He should be kicked out by the BCCI from the indian team. And i wonder why the biotech company needs someone like dhoni to endorse their product. Instead they should go with Sharad Pawar.

u dont know abt Good Food. he/she is the biggest dhoni lover in the world. Even Dhonis parents would not like him as much as Good Food!
We generally ignore the comments from 'Good Food'... he he it will be total BS and full of Dhoni worship! I am sure u wuld have figured out already!
Today companies are spending more than 10% of their revenues in brand promotions. So for every Rs 100 spent by us, Rs 10 goes into getting the celebrity on TV to endorse the product. Whether one likes/wants it or not, we have to pay for it. It could be any damn item like a toilet soap, which one would be buying/using anyways, but still one has no choice....and few lucky people are minting money at the cost of the stupid common man!!!! Why do you need to focus on winning world cup...u are earning well anyways..

What nonsense. If you don't want to buy the product, don't buy it. Anyhow, what makes you think that you are paying for their endorsement costs? That's the investment, companies make their products more popular.

Recently Wall street 2 priemered in Cannes and theres a line in the movie Greed is Legal.The govt should not try and bailout these companies when they are going bankrupt because of the stupid money they spend.I can understand the argument of a usp by having celebs advertising ur products but in the end its the average person like us who keep you floating.Some of the brand dhoni endorses are good for nothing just a means of way to make extra cash for him.Dhoni and co are making adequate money anyways by taking part in the ipl then y this greed and time wasting in front of the camera.the Point is simple just focus on playing for ur country hope the bcci wake up and introduce some rules for the players or let it be passes in the govt.
