Indians can do better but the problem is that in the pitch of west indies india can't play because it is a bouncy wicket and we need spinners not fast bowlers.you cannot blame them.

I think Dhoni should take it easy
by delguy on May 13, 2010 11:13 AM

I see him as very over confident person,,,,but anyway we shouldnt have lost to SL, the scoring rate was hampered by Dhoni,,,

and what about Gambhir's running between the wickets, specially his very frequent antics/threat to go for a run which is not there. No body like the coach or anyone senior/sensible has warned him against doing this every other ball he faces. It is too silly to tolerate at all times.

Truth is Srilankans were better than India on that particular day. Have you seen their bowling after 13 overs? That was the main difference.

shastri was one of the slowest and most irritating cricketers to watch as also the most selfish-as for the great gavaskar who can forget his 30 odd runs in 50 overs-azhar is acrook turned politician-so its basically the pot calling the kettle black.

You are right. All these former cricket players were failed 100% when they tour outside India, specially when they tour Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa & New Zealand. Only this recent team performed well recently. To be honest I also upset over T20 world cup failure, but one or two failures in sports can be excused. I hope India should be more consistant in future.

Dhoni

Dhoni is no doubt one of the best ODI batsman in the team. But his batting in T20s is mediocre. His innings against SL cost India the match. He seems to be in the ODI mode when he bats in T20s. He needs to change his approach and be more aggressive with the bat in T20s.
