Its shame on the part of selector and BCCI for not able to get the good fast bowler for India in recent times,they over hyped or not able to able to keep fitness leves. if we see the list of fast bowlers almost more then 15 bowlers represented India in couple of years here is the list 1.Zaheer khan.2 Ashish Nehra. 3.Praveen Kumar. 4.Vinay Kumar. 5.RP Singh 6 Sreesanth 7. IrfanPathan. 8.Gony 9.Munaf Patel 10.Sudeep Tyagi. 11. Dhuval kulkarni 12.abhimanu Mithun. 13.Umesh Yadav 14.Ishant Sharma etc
no one is performing as world class bowler and the selectors just sending them into the international matches, BCCI should have a long term plan in protecting the fitness level of players, if we have around 15 bowlers the reserve bench should be strong and the bowlers should come with new ideas great fitness levels to represent the country.

In today's days no country makes bowler friendly pitches. Look at IPL apart from few bowlers everybody was smacked out of the ground. In today's cricket world it will be hard to get any Kapil, Wasim, Walsh,etc. In there days not this much cricket was played. No bowler can keep his performance going for continious 2 tours. Look at every international bowler, till today who has been consistant performer in all three games of cricket.

Our bowlers are not mentally strong and cannot communicate with their coaches on their faults. They should try and develop key skills on their bowling development by themselves. Just see how pakistani team produced a dangerous bowling attack and even Australia. Sarfaraz Nawaz inventor of reverse swing. Waqar & Wasim two dangerous bowling combination. Walsh and Ambrose two West Indies deadly bowlers. Glenn Mcgrath considered a greatest bowler in terms of line and length. Kapil Dev the greatest allrounder of indian team. Our bowlers needs to watch their video footage to develop the skills and practice. I hope that my views are taken into consideration by the bowlers and the officials of the Indian cricket team

I am sure this is the same cricketer who bowled like a kid giving away 18 runs in 4 balls in the last over against CSK? For once the selectors have got it right I must say.

I am sorry if you misunderstood, I was refering to his performance and ability, not his religion.
Chief selector is brand ambassador Chennai super kings. He gets money from CSK. So he is surely showing favouritizm towards CSK players.. aswin, m vijay are example... when there are likes of robin uthappa and irfan was let out... He or any other selector should not be allowed to promote any specific IPL team..
His performance is not so good. He regularly bowls the short pitch deliveries or loose deliveries. He has wicket taking ability, but need to be economic bowler also.
Irfan Pathan was man of the match in the the first T20 world cup. Irfan Pathan won for India the very last triangular series played in Australia which Australia had been winning year after year after year. He bowled an amazing last over when Aussies needed just nine runs to win the match to take the series to the decider. Irfan Pathan was also the main reason when India won the Sydney test a few years ago. He scored a century in the last test match he played. He has done extremely well with bat and the ball in all three IPLs as well as Ranji trophy and other domestic tournaments. The main complaint that he bowls in the mid 120 kms speed is ridiculous when India has consistently opened with bowlers bowling at a lesser pace.
Oh, by the way, has India won any thing other than flat pitch one dayers in recent years without Irfan.

There was something that happened in Beirut in 1983 to American Marines, but that must have been just fire crackers, not a suicide bomber.
Irfan Pathan starting his carrier under captainship of Sourav Ganguly and on that time Pathan will konwn as a Good asset of Indian Cricket. He start his carrier with lots of promising good swing and pace including well batted. But after Sourav Ganguly losts his captaincy and Dravid was capain of India then India loose a great asset. Because Dravid & Chappel use Pathan as a Batsman like innings opning etc and Pathan was forget his bowling. Dravid and Chappel destroy his carrier and India was lost a promising all rounder. Now Indian team suffering T-20 World Cup for All rounder.

I would like to disagree. He was the only person who could have filled the "all rounder" spot left vacant by the great Kapil. Chappel was trying to groom him for that.
