The man who does charity without shouting on the top of his voice is the real generous man. It is said the best charity is the one which is given by the right hand and the left hand even does not know. I have seen many people doing charity openly and the money they give away is generally black money. Is there any use of such a charity?

museum for sachin

He is a great legend. But museum and bharat ratna are too much..We as indians expected sachin to play for another 3 to 4 years and we are eager to cheer him..There are lot more people who has sacrified for the country waiting for recognition..One who sacrifice for the poor people and who has got selfless service should be given Bharat ratna or creating museum for him.Its not necessary for a sportsperson to get all this..Hope Maha govt will not do this..As an Indian,I need Sachin to play for the country and get himself involved in creating more sachins in future..

Even in countries where there is no cricket? That is a good joke. The idea of Bharat Ratna is a joke, the museum is a joke and one is forced to ask, what next? Mind you he has played a team game. Besides Sachin, 10 other players also played, performed and helped India win. In fact, players like Dravid, Kumble etc. played alongside him in an equally brilliant manner with no recognition coming their way. In the past, we had the likes of Gavaskar (the best ever from India without doubt, given the quality of opposision he faced without even a helmet), Kapil Dev etc. And finally, cricket is a game played by 9 countries, 4 of them poor Asian countries including India. Also, Sachin is a professional cricketer who has been paid in crores for playing for India, besides ad revenue. He has not done any free service for India. Hence, I fail to understand all the clamour suddenly just because he scored a 200 in an one dayer after 431 tries! Remember, Shewag alreay has two triple hundreds in Tests playing 1/3rd of the innings played by Sachin!

vasudevan, your comments are really funny..BTW, sachin is not paid in crores for playing for India. he gets same fees as other players in his grade do & they all deserve it. atleast they don't sit in offices or homes like you do & feel jealous abt people !!
sachin has not stopped others from becoming famous has he??
also if there were so many great players playing next to him what difference does it make?? he still has 93 centuries & 31k international runs which all others put together don't have !!

ur comments show that you are plain jealous of his achievements.

Sachin has more runs than all others put together? That is another joke in the kitty. Dravid has 22,000 international runs and has played proportionately lesser number of tests and one dayers. And Dravid has this many runs with less than half the number of centuries as compared to Sachin. That proves he is more consistent and not focussed on centuries alone! Anyway, being an ordinary mortal, he has played in every position from 1 to 8. As for Kumble, he has won more matches for India than all other Indians (including Sachin) put together. After all, we had to take 20 wickets whenever we won, and Kumble was at the forefront taking wickets! As for being jealous, I do not even play cricket (in fact, I do not know how to hold a bat)! If I am jealous because Sachin is rich, then I will be more jealous of the Ambanis, the Tatas and the Birlas, the real achievers! If sports is the criteria, Vishwanathan Anand deserves the Bharat Ratna and the Museum and what not much before any cricketer, because Anand is a real world Champion in the true sense of the word!!!

hey vasudevan...i dont know whats your problem..is it Building a Museum for sachin? is it Other sports personalities like Vishwanathan anand/Dravid or any other having no meuseums?Bharatha ratna being given to a sports personality?..Sachin has touched lives of millions not in india but all around the world. Can you name one sports personalty like him who deserve this? There are people who admit that whenever they get sad a highlights of sachin's innings could make them feel better. That may not include you.He has made us proud..Yes he gets paid for his greatness..But he has helped others..He helps lots of NGOs without giving publicity..He is highest tax paying sports person in our company...These recognitions should be given to the ones deserved and he deserves..Even you can be a celebrity in this country if you say a negative comment on sachin.Thats how this country loves him...
I am proud to say i am living in the time of this legend...I know many will join me..

Maharashtra- 3rd poorest state
by Nandakumar Venkatraman on Mar 26, 2010 11:49 AM

Just read in another rediff news that in terms of percentage of people below poverty line, Maharashtra ranks 3rd, just behind UP and Bihar. (http://business.rediff.com/report/2010/mar/24/maharashtra-ranks-3rd-in-poverty-after-up-bihar.htm).Mr.Chavan can also build a 'poverty' museum next door! This is not to take away Sachin's achievements but this is not a govt's job!

There would have been hundreds of temples being erected for him. Gods would have been given his face etc like they do for Rajnikant or Badboo..

A Museum is an overkill but lets not forget he is the greatest ever to pick up the seasoned English willow.

Maharashtra & Musiums
by ARUN LELE on Mar 26, 2010 11:47 AM  | Hide replies

There is a simple logic in every decision in democracy. Wherever there is a mob, there are votes and wherever votes are there , politicians will be there.Let that be any religious function, cultural ,festival ,sports, education, fairs, entertainment shows ( worst is funerals too ) in all places , the dirty politicians have highjacked all events in their fanour. There is no derth of fools who support them in every walk of life.
So long as people do not boycot the shows where poticians presence is felt, this will continue , may be in the name of sports, fairs, festivals, culltural occasions.
Again the musium in the name of sports will be opened ,money swindling will take place from land procurement ,building construction tenders, display materials and will be ingurated by a politician, having no connection with sports. People will attend the function and clap and clap and clap.New enquiry comissions will be seated to enquire the charges on money swindling and extensions will be given and commission reports will be dumped in godowns after 20-25 years.
Democracy Jai Ho !!!!
