One thing I''ve noticed .......
by Dire Straits on Mar 09, 2010 01:45 PM  | Hide replies

Is the the only country where 90% of the people suffer from inferiority complex is India. Anything from the western world is superior for them - Ponting is better than Sachin, western music is superior to Indian classical music, western movies are better than Indian music, living in the west is better than living in India, and the list goes on .............

It's just because of that inferiority complex that there are so many haters and critics of Sachin and the Indian team here on Rediff. But I won't blame them. After all the British ruled their ancestors for more than 150 years, and their blood is still running in the veins of these people. They seem to enjoy licking foreign boots.

Perfact comment. It's not only west is better then us, it's also how other person can achive it when I can't do it. & never looking at the fact that U couldn't because U didn't had confidence to do so.
Once read that a beeger is not envy to a man with money but he envies to another begger who gets more in begging, same some indians are Jealous of achivers among within us.

agreed ... if anything is white it must be right ... This country is filled with tards like those. you have a bunch of morons talking about playing on bouncy pitches, why not indicate the failures of ponting and Co on slow turning pitches ? Do ponting and Co and for the matter any team in the world prepare pitches that won't suit their team's strengths ?

this is the beginning for double century

there was a mental block to cross 200 in oneday international, But now that has been achieved by master blaster, it will be broken by many, I will not be surprised tendulkar too will have another in near future.
This is because now teams score 350-400 regularly around the globe, if Sehwag remains uptill 40th over he can easily do it.If cricketer can do 120 run in 20/20 matchs, in 50 over match 200 mark is always possible. But thanks to tendulkar for the beginning....

absolutely right govind.. u've hit the head of the nail.. in a period of 20/20 zamaana(world), individual score of around 115-120 is touched in 20 overs!! so over 200 individually in 50 over ODIs has always been a most likelihood possibility since last few years, finally it came through the most deserving batsman of the game & as u said rightly if sehwag stays for long in ODIs like sachin has done many a times, sehwag will probably need around 40-42 or at the max around 45 overs to go past 200 individually.. but the problem with him as he himself has said he does take too many risks whenever he goes past 120-130 in ODIs, in TESTs his basic approach is same is to play attacking innings throughout as that is his only gamestyle but doesn't take undue risk after 120 or 130 & keeps playing on & on and thus by virtue of that he has some many times gone past scores over 150 (around 12 times) & 6 times over 200 including 2 times over 300(319 and 309) and once 293(almost 300 another time!! almost got that world record!! in last december)

BCCI should declare the cricket schedule of INDIA from june 2010 to 2011 january (till prior 2011 WC)..
It's heard that IND will probably play a 3 test series against SRI LANKA in SRI LANKA in around jul-aug 2010 & may be a triangular ODI tournament.. then in sept-oct against AUSTRALIA IND will try to play 2 or 3 test matches & may be 3 ODIs, instead of playing 7 ODIs!! & no test!!.. then INDIA is going to tour SOUTH AFRICA in nov 2010-jan 2011 (3 test series) & may be 5 ODIs.. that many number of tests (already 4 and then 3 2 3=8 more, so that's total 12 tests in around 1 year from 2010 jan to 2011 jan-feb) is ideal for INDIA, & atleast 9-10 tests in each year 2011 onwards to make sure & giving maximum chances to sachin to remain the top run & 100 getter in TESTs in world so that ponting can't touch him.. ODIs firmly secured by sachin & he has made it that of his own..

yes govind, sachin has expressed his desire of staying full 50 over in ODI in near future(if it happens, it will be in near future in any case coz he is retiring from ODIs after 2011 WC) immediately after scoring that 200*.. if he ables to play full 50 overs once more (earlier he has already done it in 8th nov 1999 played full 50 overs & scored his highest ODI score 186* at that time which remained till that date of scoring 200* on 24/2/2010) he will get close to 200, if not 200.. even if he gets even close to 200 once more in this remaining 1 year of his ODI career, it will be simply unbeilevable!!
