Dont compare Test Cricket with 20-20!!
by rahul vij on Mar 03, 2010 08:04 AM  | Hide replies

Its a shame that people with limited knowledge about the game make expert comments . Test cricket has survived centuries and tests a cricketers true potential. On what basis people are arguing that it should go day /night?.it will have an an impact on the genuine charm of the game.Twenty- twenty is a just a current trend and this craziness you see now will diappear as time passes and more no of matches played.Modi is just a good marketer and dosnt know the technicalities of the game and he dosnt understand the passion of a true Cricketer. To add to that most of the people who follows 20 20 cricket neither knows about the game nor they do have passion. Its just a some sort of entertainment. The difference between test cricket and 20 20 is same as the differnce between a classic movie and pure commercial entertainer movie and you could never compare the same!!!!

I agree with you. And Modi should not forget the dew which makes bowling very difficult. And how about making a white ball last 80-100 overs in an innings? It is simply impossible. Modi stop joking.

Sleep in the daytime and play in the nights for 5 days?
by Padmanabhan R on Mar 03, 2010 07:25 AM  | Hide replies

Is it possible for players to sleep in the daytime and play in the nights for 5 days? Same with spectators?

Not a great idea from Modi..

T20 has no skill..It is mostly luck..T20 will start to be boring for spectators in another 2 years...

Test Cricket

T20 has made bring difference to Test Cricket. In recent times we see a lot of Test matches end with a result unlike before when it used to be lousy boring game most of the time ending in a draw. In fact with the Test Matches you can get a lot of quality game to watch and with result a definit occurance it is the best thing in cricket presently. I am sure Modi's suggestion makes sense.

test matches are boring and that's the reason why people around the world think cricket is a ridiculously long game... Well I dont blame them, test cricket is boring as well and i would want that to extinct!

What about golf? It is played over a number of days. Is that boring also?
Should that become extinct also? There is a lot more money in golf than T 20 cricket!!

Impatience
by Krishnakumar Narayanan on Mar 02, 2010 11:10 PM

T20 makes an impatient generation more impatient. It will create a new breed of fans, of course larger in number. Modi belongs to the new breed for whom time is as precious as money. In a world where only money and success are everything, people like only slam-bang encounters. Someday, if any sane government manage to control the advertisement market, not only T20 but lot of reality shows and other hollow stuff will lose their sheen.

The Joker is at it again

I must say, this is the best joke that you have laid on the cricket public till now. I must see you better this. Perhaps you turning up in ur pajamas all padded up should do the trick. But i am sure you will better your reputation as a joker. Test cricket at night. The guys walk away at the slightest sight of the sun beginning to set, and you crazy pants must be a real weirdo to think that we can have Test cricket at night. Ask umpire Shavir Tarapore to lend you his light meter. See if you can see your face in that light let alone the ball.

Yeah ice berg i have heard about floodlights, i hope they light up your brain too. Why don't they use floodlights in test matches when the light ain't so good. U don't seem to be bothered about how Mr. Modi is just ruining Indian Cricket and world cricket as a whole. He is just not bothered as long as he can make money.
