Its a purely privately managed commercial entertainment show only to benefit the consumer companies in India who sell their junk products to Indians through cricketers and Cricket matches which are fixed to suit the performance of the brand ambassadors of their products.
Crcketers never represented India, they represent BCCI. But take advantage of India and its citizens.

BCCI is Asian games boss. So stfu. Indian cricket team should not play olympics at least this year. Maybe after the end of World Cup 2011 next year they can play. Also World Cup 2011 is more important to india than the gold medal.

What the great thing Indian cricket team will do in ICC World Cup ??... atleast Indian team could have won a medal in Asian Games.. BCCI is a commercial body values more of money than the spirit of game.. Asian Games society is still holding some respect to the sports... so dont compare the garbage BCCI with other International sports society
ban 20/20 cricket forever and ban those players who only wants to play shorter formats of the game. If our indian players are not committed to playing test and ODI cricket than destroy their career. If that's what they want than they don't deserved to earn a single rupee, let alone crore rupees.
definately BCCI is a bunch of jokers. But I still say its a good decision not to play Olympics at the moment. We have international commitments and we have the all important 50/50 world cup coming up pretty soon. I say the World Cup 2011 is more important for india than playing for olympics at least this year. I rather see India win the 50 over World Cup at the moment that the olympics gold medal. We can play the olympics after next year when the world cup is over and when the next olympics is on. After all T20 cricket is bull shit cricket also. I also say why not make up 50 over cricket in olympics that T20, which is a total garbage.
This proves that BCCI & Cricketers only play for money! They are mere mercenaries.. not sportsmen. We should boycott cricket .. so much durt under the blue shirts! Dont they know the glory and honour of getting medals at the Asiad & Commonwealth Games? To get a medal while our National Flag rises to the strains of our National Anthem.. the great feeling of achievement and satisfaction! Sigh, what do these money-spinning BCCI & cricketers who worship Kuber know of such honour & glory! We could easily have won some medals at both these venues. Alas.

IOA should raise this issue with the govt. and solve this problem once and for all. Why does BCCI not want to send a team under the aegis of IOA?
Are we not looking at popularising cricket in Asian Games / Olympics so that India gets some recognition / medals? Why are we going against the interest of the game?
India is anyway playing 3 Tests & 5 OneDayers during that period and the T20 team is a bit different than these teams... A second string team could have easily been put together .. Anyways .. the likes of Uthapa, Raina & Yusuf etc. might not be playing Tests .. and even if one-dayers are being played .. there are several youngsters who could do with the exposure (like Rayudu, Tiwary, Naman, Badrinath, Suman, S Dhawan, Pathan Bros., Chawla/Mishra/Ojha, Jakati, Ashwin, S Trivedi, Dinda, Balaji etc.)
I've already named more than the required number of players .. and its just a question of one senior player like Ganguly, Laxman, Dravid, Kohli or even Murali Kartik leading the team and securing us a medal.
Its really not about the medal .. but more about the county's representation and commitment towards the spread of the game.
It's a shame that BCCI is propogating Commercial interests rather than national!!
