BCCI Chickened Out
by LG on Jun 02, 2010 04:28 AM  | Hide replies

Coward BCCI officials took the decesion of getting embrassed as they know that BCCI team is not good enough to win an important tournament.

Moreover, BCCI is the only board that do not care about national representation.

BCCI always give preference to useless bilateral series against NZ, WI so that they can fool Indian public in believing that Indian team the ranked #1 team.
BCCI has been taken for a ride by a Thug like modi for this very mentality of BCCI.

Cricket in the ASIAD
by Shrikar D on Jun 02, 2010 01:18 AM

It’s no surprise that the BCCI made this choice: Both the November’10 Ind/NZ tour & the Asian games were scheduled, many years ago. So, why’s everyone up in arms now?
Next, The BCCI never pretended to represent India. The cricketers’ team shirts have a small patch for the tricolor with the rest of the space reserved for the BCCI & sponsors’ logos.
Finally and probably most importantly, the ASIAD comes totally under WADA’s purview. Our cricketers are yet to adopt its codes entirely (for example, the ‘Whereabouts’ clause needs to be accepted & the WADA has given the ICC time till guess when, November’10!). There’s no way the BCCI was going to get into a situation whereby it’s employees (i.e. cricketers) could be required to comply with all WADA requirements before it’s ongoing dispute with IOC & WADA is resolved.
It’s time, Indian sports fans recognized these realities, as depressing as they might seem...

It hurts Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik and Srikanth
by kumar on Jun 02, 2010 01:16 AM  | Hide replies

Srikanth, Murali Vijay and Dinesk Karthik are deeply deeply disappointed with the BCCI Decision. They are feeling that they lost a golden opportunity. They could have scored lot against the teams like China, Bhutan and somewhat okay with Afghanisthan. Srikanth is disappointed as it robs him the opportunity of showcasing the Vijays and Karthiks Statistics. Till now, they didn't cross 20 average barrier. Unfortunate for Tamil nadu players

That's a full toss straight on to the abdomen guard... cracking the shell and hitting the where it really hurts the most...

Could be much better with a full toss reverse swing. Akram bhai.. please some advise.

No national awards and flag for BCCI Team
by Shesh Lak on Jun 02, 2010 12:26 AM

I would like to add that all the national awards viz Padmashree, Padmabhushan and other awards which have been bestowed on BCCI cricketers should be taken back immediately, bette to say they should be stripped of these awards with the worst possible humiliation.
National awards should be given to those who serve our country without any greed and want to see tricolor flying high, not to these idiot cricketers who play for their personal gain. Shame on these beggers.

BCCI does not pay him... it's teh millions of fans who do... he plays for India, not BCCI... in fact it's the responsibility of every self-respecting Indian cricketer to oppose BCCI's decision.

Ban the.....
by Sandy C on Jun 01, 2010 11:47 PM

If you guys really care for the Indian team, completely ban the products that are branded by the Indian Players or the BCCI nexus, lets stop making the Indian players a hero, it has not remained a gentleman game, but has turned out into a chor game, here people gamble, fix matches, do biased selections, earn crores even after losing, why are we giving so much importance even after knowing these things...why we as people can just not ban this hyped up sport and concentrate on some real sport like hockey or football where it requires real stamina, skill and talent....
