We are a pathetic team - and the dame Luck is with us for quite sometime .Injuries to key players .Most opf the Cricketers jaded and tired .The only way to activate them - please have immediate IPL starting in the next two or three days - most of the injured players will be fit and you have every one playing cricket like Gilli-Danda .Thanks to IPL it has killed Test Cricket in the nation.Simple those who make the tons willeport sick of the comment.
All the same let us accept Sri Lanka are tigers in their back yard .

Shrikant and his tamil gang ...Sambhar fellows were the reason for the failure...

Had it been North indians selectors and players , India would have won

Can you please let us know how. What did north indian players Gambhir, Ishant , Yuvraj and Harbajan do. Mithun bowled well and batted well for a tailender. He was the only new face in the indian team . Who are the tamilians you are talking about ???

The bowlers like Irfan, Balaji are in India. Our bad luck is we dont have single all rounder from population of 135000000.

learn basics
by kg sharma on Jul 24, 2010 04:51 PM

Learn basics. Yuvi, Dhoni and Gambhir can do batter if they will try to see the recording. If there will be a gap between bat and pad, any spiner can out any batsman. Why laxman went for runout, when he knows hisself as very poor between the wicket. Tendulkar is great but, if you want world cup, you have to play long innings eiter in test or in one day.
Why we Pragyan, why not Amit Mishra or Piyush Chawla. I think both are better then Pragyan. If we don't have four or five good bowlers then we can play with 10 batsman Bhajji. This is batter for test and world cup. Other wise we can't reach in the semifinals in 2011.

Dhoni to blame
by India on Jul 24, 2010 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni does not deserve the 45 million dollar contract the way he batted. His captaincy is mediocre. His excuse this time is blaming India's bowling, even though true is a flimsy excuse. Scoring runs is important but batting out overs is a must in test cricket. Dhoni, Yuvraj and Harbhajan could have batted out overs to save the test. But they were in a hurry to get out quickly. This resulted in a meek surrender.

Exactly. But even their batting is dismal. If not for Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid and Lakshman, it would have been innings defeat by a long margin!!

Future of Indian cricket is there for everyone to see!!

With Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag and Laxman (who played far better than the so called the young legs), this is the story: Imagine a team which tours the world without them!! Perfect recipe for becoming World no.10 in all forms of cricket!!

We don't need 7 specialist batsman when we all know bowling is weak. should have tried with additional bowler or allrounder.

India's bench strength is very weak interms of bowling. India always concentrate on batting and NOT on bowling.

Indian Cricket team's Failure in the first test vs Srilanka
by Balakrishnaa Vasudevan on Jul 24, 2010 10:50 AM

Two shots that gave M Muralidharan's 793rd and 800th wickets and the runout (wrong) decision of Laxman are responsible for this loss. If one takes at the premaeditated shot of SACHIN that gave M'M his 793rd Wicket. The other was How OHJA Opened the face of his Bat,to lose his wicket. These were very crucial. Now it is all history
