Characterless batting by India
by Gopi on Jul 23, 2010 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

In situations like that, Dravid's run-out, Sachin's sweep of Murali, Sehwag giving catching practice to Srilankans, Laxman's run-out....are some of the most characterless batting ways of the Test team ranked No. 1. Blaming bowling is really stupid!

Nothing worng with India. It was Murali's record
by Preeti Vikram on Jul 23, 2010 04:12 PM

There has been a tacit agreement between the 2 Asian teams to gift Mrali his 800 wickets in his him country.
Of late Indian players have played Murali very well and tosay that they could not face his bowling in his last match is not believable.

It was obvious the match was gifted to Murali.

New process
by NYY on Jul 23, 2010 03:56 PM

The whole selection process should be overhauled. BCCI should arrange more international tours for India-A and India U23. With BCCI's power and money, that can be easily done. The selection process should be transparent. All young players (below 23) who are doing well in domestic should be promoted to India-U23 and play some international games. If they do well in India-U23, they should be promoted to India-A. Other players above 23, who are doing well in domestic should be selected in India-A. The selection to India team should be strictly from India-A. Similarly poor performancers from Indian team should be relegated to India-A. It will give them a chance to play some international games with India-A and make a comeback, if possible. So basically the cream of the next gen players should be in India-A.

no need for change
by veerapuram dharan on Jul 23, 2010 03:39 PM

change of players is not going to help much.its the change in attitude that is needed..we have a captain, who looks to have achieved everything in his life after the 210 cr deal and his marriage...first, chuck him out of the team as he is technically unfit for test matches..same is teh case with yuvi..bhajji is the more over rated bowler and takign his place for granted..should be removed as hes is not willing to change his attitude..hes not even flighting the ball which will prompt the batsmen to make mistakes...ojha did his best but hes predictable bowling same line and length and same flight..if he does his basics right, he should be supported by placing attacking fieldsmen..remember when ravi shastri and maninder singh used to bowl, kapil always has fwd short leg and silly point without fail and always...

what DHONI meant by experience was " lack of bowlers ability to pick wickets " .... if you dont have the ability , no amount of experience will help
