cricket is a loser
by chaddi baniyan on Jan 20, 2010 09:45 AM  | Hide replies

think it from neutarl prospective, when icc supports ipl to sponsor international players, thats bcause the league can provide entertainment not only for those sitting in stadium but watching all around the world.....but we narrow minded and people of slave mentality are just playing [politics and dreaming of becoming siperpower:-)

Your country and you people are worth making fun of. You deserve no place in our country. What made you think that we would waste our hard earned money on some criminals from a terrorist nation? You can go to hell like many of your countrymen.

very well said syed. hope sense prevails to others who are advising not to mix politics with sports. They should understand that state sponsored terrorism and killing of innocents is not politics but war. And you don't talk about sports with people who are all out to destroy you.

Who is responsible??
by Rajspeaks on Jan 20, 2010 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

Let us be politically correct. Who created discrimination.. Pakistanis themselves. Do you think that with the toll of terrorism that pakistani govt is supporting its they who are responsible.
Dont you think every Pakistani who wants a bit of Kashmir is responsible. ..
So Pakis you are responsible..not any one else. Now at every part of the world a Pakistani National is seen with doubt and discrimination only. Why is that Pakistani Companies are on the decline and so is your economy. Its you who created it and now suffering because of it. WE INDIANS CAN ONLY PITY YOU. Are you not feeling the discomfort for questtioning hours before air travel outside your home country. Ask yourself Who is responsible.

So if you are a pakistani.. Be cool and think?

Reaction of News Channels
by tuleswar nath on Jan 20, 2010 09:39 AM  | Hide replies

Yesterday news channels like NDTV 24x7 and CNN-IBN were reacting as if the franchisees have done a big crime by not taking Pak cricketers. It is the franchisees right to select or not select any player.

not exactly.....when icc allows u to sponsor international players u cannot mix up politics u need to think from neutarl angle or just look at it as sports it's not war zone, definetly on merit most paki players would have been selected

ICC is not allowing you to sponsor international players, they are just giving the recognition to the tournament and creating a window in the international calendar (Also because they get a big cut in the IPL money!!). But the franchise owners are putting in their money to get the players they choose to. Couple of things here for not selecting Paki players -
1> Most of the fanbase of the franchises are indians and most of them would not like Paki players in their teams
2> Due to the instability in the Indo-Pak situation, their visas could be revoked and then all the investment is down the drain.
3> This is a team game and not about individuals. So based on the past experience of Paki players (Deccan had problems with Afridi's attitude), franchises are a bit reluctant. They would rather have less talented but more team players.

Correct Treatment
by MANGAL PANDE on Jan 20, 2010 09:30 AM

After long time good news
Paki players & Artist are minting money from India and donating to Terrorist who are attacking India .At last IPL could get up and shown some self respect .Otherwise shameless money hungry BCCI and IPL would have allowed these terrorist players to play on Indian soil .IPL reduced Balasaheb,s trouble of organising ban on Matches with Paki players
They do not understand secularism, sportmanship or peace but only treatment like this

Congrats IPL! Kudos India Inc.
by Indian Guru on Jan 20, 2010 09:30 AM

You proved you mean business and did not bend to cheap tactics of the pakis..They broke the relations last year and calling foul on our side this year.

Atleast the public looks this way that you cannot have sports at one side and fight on the other. Kudos India Inc. You echoed peoples sentiment.

Any way IPL is a private entity run by private institutions.

Did we not see private companies disqualifying the best of the talented and educated individuals just because they carry a bad sense of attitude?
