Shame on us!!!
by Vivek Iyer on Jan 20, 2010 09:23 AM  | Hide replies

Shame on us!! We are now getting a reputation for being bad losers..we have a problem with just about everyone.China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Sri Lanka and the list goes on..finally we will play amongst ourselves and Ranji trophy will get a boost.
Sports and Politics should never be mixed together..I am really sad that the Indian public is missing out on good Pakistani talent..
now, morons, start barking at me and call me anti-national..i don give it a shit..

Yes shame on us as we have such Madrasi without self respect and any shame ? 26/11 attack took place in Mumbai and not in Chennai. Are you not relative in and around Matunga & Chembur and got killed on 26/11? Then you would have sung this idiotic song of secularism, love for sport and blabla

dude put aside nationalism , if you just take the case of franchisees its a huge business risk for them, don't you see that part of the equation which is ofcourse unfortunately part of the bigger political and security conditions

You are indeed a true patriot, after all its not your brothers, sisters, parents who get killed by Pakistani terrorists. You are a true champion of sportsman spirit. You need not worry, there are plenty of patriots like you around. God Bless You.

Vivek! we cannot extend friendship on one hand and take bullets on the other, this dual diplomacy has been misutilized umpteen number of times by the Pakis..

Moreover IPL is run by the franchisees who are established Indian companies with deep depth in risk management..

They have learnt the trade pretty quickly and they mean business and are in the business of winning not gifting.

Pakistan itself is in a complete mess and we dont have to do anything..it will crumble on its own.The point however is that its a bad precedent to ban sportsperson..
So..are we going to ban people from australia, china, bangaldesh, si lanka etc ???

Hi Vivek,
If one of your family was affected due to 26/11 or in Kashmir, you would not be talking of mixing sports with politics. Sports is one part of life, but when life itself is threatened due to sponsored terrorism, then it affects all areas of life including sports. Also all franchises dont want to alienate their fan base who in most cases(Except for pseudo intellectuals like you) dont want pakistan players in their teams irrespective of the so called good talent.

India Inc should not pay any Paki
by B M on Jan 20, 2010 09:23 AM  | Hide replies

No Paki should receive any money from Indian companies, no matter what the reason is. Because finally this money is going to be used to fund terrorism, directly or indirectly.

Well done IPL! Paki players have been shown where they belong.

huh what dream world do u live in man?? u think all this would suddenly prevent terrorist attacks in Pak or India and suddenly such elements would feel bad for the cricketing fraternity..what joke...the terrorists only succeeded in what they intended to do and ofcourse it doesn't make business sense to put money on Paki players momentarily

Then I am very happy and congratulate IPL for this. I wish that they continue snubbing Pakistanis for many more years. With this, I hope that Pakistanis will realize that terrorism will lead to such things.

Well it's true that a 'few' unfortunate Indian bros are being attacked in Aus but those are just vicious mishaps. The Pakis however are attacked CITIES not just individuals. How can you equate hundreds of dead people in Mumbai to 1 or 2 Indian students attacked in Aus ??? be sensible man.

Not Fair
by Vijayshree Enterprise on Jan 20, 2010 09:18 AM  | Hide replies

I Think that IPL guys should had judged the players on their playing skills & Talent. But this looks like more of a planned strategy by specifically not selecting PAK players. If PAK terror in INDIA was the reason behind this, then they should have snubbed Aussies also. Are we forgetting the recent ongoing attacks by Aussies on Indians in AUSTRALIA ?? Are we still dominated by the WHITES ??

Let us be politically correct. Who created discrimination.. Pakistanis themselves. Do you think that with te toll of terrorism that pakistani govt is supporting its they who are responsible. Dont you think every Pakistani who wants a bit of Kashmir is responsible. .. So Arif you are responsible..not Indians. Now at every part of the world Pakistani National is seen with doubt only. Are you not feeling the discomfort for questtioning hours before air travel outside your home country. Ask yourself Who is responsible.

Colomboboycoy, you are such an ungrateful ba$t**d! The whole world knows that Sri Lanka had no balls to take on LTTE on their own. The only reason you managed to defeat LTTE was because of Indian help. Instead of being grateful for this help, you are spitting fire at your saviour. I hope not all Sri Lankans are shameless like you.
