i am deeply disapponited to know that worlds best players and true gems of the world paki players are not included. this is injustice and insult that current T20 world champs are not inculded during IPL auction, i failed to understand why this is happened. i guess this is politics with power and money. i deeply regret and condem this. all seculars plz join me in condeming such dirty politics.

We don't want any false grace.. and we are better of without people who in the back of mind always try to create fracus in our country one way or another.. Let them behave themselves as good humanitarians then we will improvise ourself on sporting morals.. WELL DONE FRANCHISEE

Shameful

It is very uncouth for any country to do this. I expected more from India especially in something that involves sports. I am quite disappointed that the largest and most populous country in South Asia behaves like a child. Disappointed indeed.

When we fought that Tamils and crushed them, we still let them play in our cricket tournaments and teams. India has no grace like Lanka.

Who cares for a relationship with your godforsaken country? Your team is losing every game. Just by fluke they became T20 champions and you ppl have started thinking your team is the best. Stop living in fools' paradise and come down to earth.
No insult etc. Ppl from your country deserve this treatment. Your ppl will be rejected by everyone because the tag on everyone of you is terrorist whether you are actually one or not. Every nation in the world looks at the word "Pakistan" with a special attention as it is linked permanently with terrorism. Unless you and your country get rid of terrorists from your country, you will continue to be humiliated and insulted everywhere in the world. And I don't believe that your nation can ever get rid of the habit of breeding terrorists because you ppl are fanatics.

Pakistanis at IPL-III
by kskumar on Jan 20, 2010 09:47 AM  | Hide replies

Seems that all franchisees has the same thoughts but didn't let it be known before hand. Probably they could have conveyed their decision beforehand so that the Pakistanis could have withdrawn gracefully. Ultimately, the franchisees are private parties and their decisions are made on hard realities. The Pakistanis did not play last time, what is the guarantee that they would play now? This is no reflection on the player's capabilities though.

What if Pakis where selected & they refused on any flimsy issue,,,,?
What if they where selected and due to any terror strike expressed unwilling ness to participate,,, and then put up claim of non payment like Akthar,,,,?
It is Indian Business Man's money and not charity to players of a Begging country,,,
It it where Afghan players we should have had second thoughts,,,
Not for Pakis,,
They have lost the Gental man's respect after 26/11,,,,

pak cricketers not in IPL
by Girish Wadhwa on Jan 20, 2010 09:45 AM  | Hide replies

Why are tv channels and newspapers crying hoarse about it? Right now with many people I am interacting on daily basis, pakistan is a terrorist country. In words of many commentators, pakistan is back in medieval period. It would hve been political riots/morchas anyways if these people had come here, and beleive me for all the hype of Times of India sponsored Aman program, not many are interested in relations with terrorist country.
