"the IPL and India have made fun of us and our country by treating us this way". He should remember that it is not IPL or India that made fun of his country. It is the Pakistani Jehadis who attack Sri Lankan players, who launch terror attacks on India, Afghanistan and Iran and in Pakistan itself who insult Pakistan and make fun of it.Afridi is barking at the wrong tree. Afridi should, instead, vent his ire on Pakistani home-grown Jihadis who have made Pakistan incapable of hosting international cricket.

And Abdul Qadir is talking of holding a Pakistani Premier League in neutral venue and invite Indian players in it.Why neutral venue? why not Pakistan? So, Qadir tacitly concedes that cause of thye problem is the Pakistani home-grown jihadis. InsteAD OF fumning at IndiA , aFRIDI AND Qadir should bark at their home-grown jehadis.
feel Pakistan cricketers and authorities should rather read news in their own most popular newspaper, The Dawn rather than raising hue and cry in the Indian media. As per the article, its only the PCB and the cricketers themselves to blame for the chaos. Here is the excerpt from the newspaper:
It may be mentioned here that a mistake on the PCB’s part prompted the IPL organisers to close their doors on the Pakistani players. The IPL had set Dec 7 as the last date to confirm the entry of the players. But the PCB could not issue the NOC to the players after getting clearance from the relative authorities.
On Dec 7, Modi had announced that no Pakistani players would feature in the IPL because they failed to send the entries before the deadline.
But the Pakistani players, who were enthusiastic about the participation in the league, raised lot of hue and cry over the issue which compelled the PCB chairman to speak to Modi about their status.
Soon afterwards, a new deadline was set for the Pakistani players which was met well on time as the federal government also issued the NOCs to the players.
In a following development, the Indian government allowed its High Commission in Islamabad to issue visas to the Pakistani players and all of them were quite hopeful about their appearance in the league.

He is right only.. MODI is not a Franchasee.. Modi agreed but Franchassie Disagreed.. LOL
It is very uncouth for any country to do this. I expected more from India especially in something that involves sports. I am quite disappointed that the largest and most populous country in South Asia behaves like a child. Disappointed indeed.
When we fought that Tamils and crushed them, we still let them play in our cricket tournaments and teams. India has no grace like Lanka.

As a 1st step, why don't you boycott an Indian news site like Rediff? If you have any sense of dignity, get your a$$ out of this forum where ungrateful Sri Lankans like you are unwanted.

I totally agree with you, you can allow brothers of people to come to india who are throwing everyday bombs on us.
Its a shame that match winners like Sohail Tanveer and dashing players like Shahid Afridi , budding talent Umar Akmal, Mohammed Aamer etc.. were not even given a chance in the bids. Come on..these are guys from the same team that has won the World T20 cup.. This is a sad day for International Cricket. If they were to be humiliated in such a manner , why were they not even in the fray for selection ? They should have been politely rested from the selection procedure. Fellow cricketers should be respected. It is an lost business opportunity for IPL owners and wholesome entertainment. Don't you'll agree ?

Arif.. are you not reading News papers in Pakistan.. Remember Pakistani Players were so intrested to take part in IPL that they fought for getting NOC from Govt. They asked for extend of dates.. and Last moment made available. Why do any Franchasie invest money in them. They may be good but Its money/ Availability matters

You are upset just because they are all muslims. Would you be just as angry if some english or south africans were not picked. Typical mozzie mentality.

Well have to agree with ur point. But think, if the franchisees spend a huge amount and later on if they are not able to use them, who is going to pay them. They are not here for politics or Jan seva, but pure business.

Some of the IPL owners have even quoted security reason which will have to be enhanced if Pakistani cricketers are taken. 'Enhanced Security' ??? What for ? Can someone explain ? Are Pakistani Cricketers terrorists ?

Mainly for Monetary benefits ofcourse !! PCB is not the richest Cricketing authority and talented players in Pakistan seek monetary compensation for their talents in the same way that other talented cricketers form other countries do. Whats wrong in that ?

Then why can't they go and play county cricket, Sheffield Shield or other cricket leagues across the world. A large section of Indians don't welcome Pakistani players at the moment and don't want IPL to be source of income for Pakistani players which will be used for terrorist activities against India.
IPL in any case is domestic tournament for India. They have all the rights in the world to refuse or accept anyone.
