ponting a good player
by Gajanan shirali on Jan 15, 2010 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

Ponting is a good batsman. His performance has been excellent for the past decade. Australia play more test matches than other counties. Their favourite opponents are England which is not so strong team. Comparison between Ponting and other players are irrelevant. If Sachin ,Dravid played for Australia, they would played more tests, ODI and also performed
better.

I knew you were brainless that is why I never replied back to your comments in the past. But you are displaying your foolishness too much here.

If the Award was meant for Batsman of the Decade, the why it was named Player of the Decade.

Go and borrow brain from someone and think again. And also use that brain to find out why Murali, Warne, Macgrath --all bowlers- are there in the list.

Are you not ashamed of yourself--you pathetic soul--for using the name of Great Sachin in your ID to abuse him at every single opportunity?

That shows that you were born to parents who never wanted you, so left you in gutter; and because of that you never learned basic etiquette.

If you are so @desperate to abuse Sachin take some other ID and do it.

specious argument

sachin's the best by a long mile. cricket is a funny sport with too many parameters effecting an individual milestone. ponting had the luxury of his entire team running well as a unit, and some counterbalanace in case he failed sachin did not have that luxury in the beginning of the last decade.

on the other hand, i think the most definitive bastman who changed the face of test cricket is sehwag.

Ponting or Sachin?
by mohdali ahmed on Jan 15, 2010 07:44 AM  | Hide replies

I think Ponting is the best player and best batsman in both ODIs and Tests. Sachin may be the best in technique, but when it comes to pressured situations and bailing the team out, Ponting is the forerunner. He is also a great team leader. Just look at the way he is carrying off the Australian Team. Despite all the criticism they have managed to beat South Africa, India, and Pakistan with their so-called immature team-mates. Ponting indeed brings the best of the individuals. You need to inspire people through your facts and wins and not just through shots. Sachin has always failed at crucial moments and even if he did he failed to carry through till the end. Ponting will always receive the flak for being arrogant captain and an inferior batsman to Sachin but in future he will hold his own when he retires. He will be a different name just like Bradman. To me Ponting is the best player and indeed greater than Bradman and Sachin for his unique achievements. If you have any questions for my statement please just go through the stats of ponting and others (sachin too). Ponting indeed played against Walsh, Ambrose, Waseem, Murali and had much more success than Sachin.

Raman Shiva and people of similar breed
by LG on Jan 15, 2010 07:21 AM  | Hide replies

Raman Shiva has said himself that-- i was born in India but a resident of USA for the last 12 years...'

Based on the comments this @moron here, I am of the opinion that this pathetic soul and others of similar breed are suffering from IDEN@TITY CRI@SIS—They are neither Indian nor American.

Raman Shiva is kind of lost guy who would speak negative/nonsense about American heroes on American forums and speak negative/nonsense about Indian heroes on Indian forums.
