Lee retired from Test cricket!
by naveen dhanerwal on Feb 24, 2010 09:11 AM

:(
It's sad but true. He has taken retirement from test cricket and we won't see him in white dress (in tests) again. But I wish him all the best for ODI's and T20's in future. I want to see him playing for another 3-4 years. He is true sportsperson from Australian side. He is one of the best fast bowlers who know quite well how to take wickets with his bowling rather than his fake facial expression, likes Sree Santh and the same.
Wish him all the best!

thats why Sachin is great....

That tells the story why Sachin is admired by all real cricket lovers and those who really understand ground cricket.

So many wear and tears...but he is standing tall...he once well said: "Stones are thrown at you, you have to convert them into milestones"...

hats off to you sir for serving the country and the game for so long with same passion, down to earth approach, simplicity, dedication, quality...

Tum jio hajaro saal, saal ke din ho pachans hajar...

May his beloved LordShriGaneshandLordShriVishnu help him fetching the world cup for India.

My wishes to all seniors of team India: mainly Rahul, VVS, Sehwag to take India to a level of recognition and number 1 position.

My separate wishes to all those who are retired but served our country with the qualified efforts.

I am not taking credit away from Tendulkar. But you are comparing apples with oranges.

Fast bowlers are prone to more injuries than batsmen in their playing career. You can hardly see fast bowlers playing cricket after they reach 35 or 36. Examples are Kapil Dev, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Andrew Flintoff, Chris Cairns, Brett Lee or you name any fast bowler. And by the way, how many times Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra were in and out of Indian cricket team.

To answer your question:

A fast bowler bowls 10-12 overs in a spell. Later on he can choose to take rest or field. thats not the case with batsmen like Sachin/ Rahul/VVS. They have to run or at least stand whole day if they are going to hit a century.

Secondly do we have fast bowlers?
I'm not comparing Zaks or Nehra's with Lee...

Untimely and forcible retirement of a great cricketer
by Nepal Sen on Feb 23, 2010 06:16 PM

It is painful to hear the news that Brett Lee might be retiring from Test Cricket. It would be a great loss for the audience worldwide to miss Brett Lee in action in the Test arena. Personally I feel very sad at receiving the news as if I have lost a near and dear ones.
