Untimely and forcible retirement of a great cricketer
by Nepal Sen on Feb 23, 2010 06:14 PM

It is painful to hear the news that Brett Lee might be retiring from Test Cricket. It would be a great loss for the audience worldwide to miss Brett Lee in action in the Test arena. Personally I feel very sad at receiving the news as if I have lost a near and dear ones.

you become part of classic team of team australia.Congratulation when you activate in team then ausies clinch no. 1 position form 2001 to 2007 in test and odi.
best of luck in near future.
and mind it lee I saw your heroic performance in champions trophy 2009 when ausies become 180 for 8 and you and hauritz fight against pakis and win match by 2 wickets.
Best of luck in near future.

Lee averages 30 despite bowling on bouncy pitches!!
by sandeep kumar on Feb 23, 2010 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

I think he's a bit overrated since we have had paceman from the subcontinent, who despite no help at all averaged around 27. Also, his action can be really dubious at times. The main menory i have of lee is sehwag smashing him in melbourne 2003, when he talked of chin music and stuff. Other than raw pace he has nothing like the outswing of sreesanth, inswing of anderson or seam control of zaheer. Lucky guy to get so many sponsors in India

Outswing of Sreesanth? Which world do u live in? If Lee is over-rated, then what do u make of that perennial idiot called Sreesanth? Did his best to lose us the first ODI the other night. I know cricket is primarily a game of natural talent but for heaven's sake, players should have a little bit of brain in them. Sree has none!

at that speed you got to have seam control to bowl legitimate deliveries..don't kid him on that..He is definitely not overrated but yes improperly used as is the case with fast bowlers....all the younger fast bowlers should learn to change and adapt their technique (like shorter run-ups )as they grow becoming efficient and have to play non stop...now i am not saying they don't know this ...but some of them don't choose to adapt like wasim ,waqar, donald did or how zaheer and nehra have done now recently... byw flintoff is extremely overrated
