His record ..against OZ in presence of Mcgra was still considered as very good ... on Indian soil as well as in OZ, where as his record against Alan donald in SA as well as in India is poor

Some bowlers were very good but they got retired very early like Karsan Ghavari/Venkatesh Prasad/Rager Binny/Waqar Yunus/Balvinder Sindhu/Shane Bond/Evan chatfiled/Andrew Flintof so many of them & some bowlers like went out because of Politics in game like L.Sivaramkrishnan,Manidersingh, Laxmipati Balaji,Avishkar Salvi,Yograj Singh(Father of Yuraj)Narendra Hirwani, Salil Ankola

wots wrng in his decisn.... he is the best one to decided wot he has to play... if its not possible for him to play five days cricekt why u want him to play for his country in test matches and wot is selfishness in dat? dun u want him to protect his carrer as well as his interest? He knws dat he cant play any more but at the same time he has to look for his livlihood also knw? so wots wrng in choosing one at the expense of other?

premature retirement by LEE
by suryanarayanan ramesh on Feb 23, 2010 12:05 PM  | Hide replies

It's very unfortunate 2 hear that Brett Lee has announced his retirement from Test Cricket. This sudden decision is not on injury aspects on part of Lee.

Even though injury is part & parcel of the game for the players, I sincerely doubt Ricky Pointing's drubbing & Surpressing Lee 2 the core.

Pointing not only plays Politics in Cricketing circle as well surpress somebody if any player enters into Mis-understanding with him. He shows his aggression 2 a very good player like Lee without giving chances to a player of Lee's calibre who has taken above 300 wickets.

What's the fun in watching Lee playing cricket in One day International & in 20-20. When is not picked-up 4 the Test, don't u think that Australian Pointing will pick him 4 shorter-version games.

Hence, I doubt Pointing's integrity & adamant attitude who is cunning 2 the height of character. Of-course pointing is a good batsmen 2 watch, which is a different isu.

as if u have a deep understanding and knwldge of internal poltics in australain cricket... stop presuming when Lee itself has said it clearly that he has bowed dwon to injuries one after another and he can not continue with longer version of the game... stop blaming pointing all the time without any reason...

Am very impressed by your clear understanding of Australian cricket politics & of course the last line, indeed very well written...I'm sold to your perception of how Ponting has screwed Lee's career though Lee intended keeping it a secret!

Shane Warne and Shoaib Akhtar
by Nirkos on Feb 23, 2010 11:36 AM  | Hide replies

Bowler Like Shane Warne who retired at age of 37 in 2007 .. if he were playing for India or England ... he would have played for another 20 years .... I am Sure warne would have become a God in India ... we could have seen his temples across India ... same like Shoaib akhtar ... in one interview with ramiz raja .. shoaib said ... if he were playing for India ... he would been a God ... super star ... when he played for kolkatta night riders ... ppl in kolkatta mad for him ... treated him as a God ...where as in Pakistan ... even when shoaib walks on road ... no one look at him ... so Indians are really mad for there sports heors ... provided they play only one sport that is cricket

Test cricket is the real CRICKET man...

Everything else is a different game. T20 is definitely not cricket. It might be an intersting game, but definitely not cricket.

Only test cricket is the place where everyone batsman, bowler fielder can showcase their talent.

Ask any cricketer and he will tell you that it is a dream come true to get a test cap.
