mukund, dnt forget that sachin ws the top scorer in first innings too n the 36 runs he made wr almost equal to the total of dese 3 :)

really kapil siddhu, i think you are forgetting that dhoni scored 33 runs in the first innings(which were almost equal to the total of dese 3 i.e. sehwag, gambhir and sachin):)
dhoni was second highest scorer in both innings also he faced the most bowling in the first innings. dhoni faced most no. of balls in the 1st innings. i.e. he lasted longer than anybody else including your favourite sachin.
BTW siddhu even if dese 3 had failed in the first innings, that is no reason to conveniently ignore/have long-term memory loss that they all scored well in second innings.
that is the problem with you blind sachin fans always appreciate sachin whether he played well or not whether he contributed in crisis or not and always forget/always have long term memory loss about all the goo performances of others and their helping india to win or save test in crisis.
but what else to expect from blind sachin fantards who cannot appreciate all the good work by other 10 players and still cheer for sachine even if he fails.

The preliminary stages with minnows is the worst. One big win by any team can take them to the super six! Otherwise both systems are OK.

India has to be in final by hook or crook or else whole 8 nation tournament will be a flop show... after all its India which brings revenues and viewer ship....
Says he dont like cricket...his justification is... The team plays for 5 odd days and the result is a dull draw..in at least 50 % of the matches Only we Indians have so much of time to spare...5 days for one match this is the main reason why this sport even after 133 years since its inception could attract just 10 test playing nations... Zimbabwe,Bangladesh being exception..

Sobers is not an opener. He's an allrounder, so Murali can be dropped and a opening batsman added. I would add Barry Richards as opener. Also would prefer Adam Gilchrist to Jeffrey Dujon.
- crowd in the stands are definitely a criteria...
- India is not a football nation...still when bayern muinch came , maradone came, forlan came... to this FIFA rank 140 country...it was housefull....1 lacs 20 K was the attendence...
- Send sachin to argentina..i doubt more that 5 k people will come

It is the other sport persons in India who say cricket is the biggest thing and they are over shadowed by it. No cricketer or spectator of cricket ever said it.
