Few Points
by Amrit Patil on Dec 22, 2010 01:23 PM  | Hide replies

Here is few points for the loosing first test:
1. Toss
2. Unexpected Heavy Rain
3. Bowling Attack.
4. Failure of Opening pair in 1st innings with Middle order Rahul/Laxman
5. Absence of Yuvi/Zaheer
6. Two or three overs should be bowled by Sehwag along with Sachin
& last but not the least Indian Team was little overconfident.

The team was not overconfident- in fact, they were unsure and tentative.
And one would wonder what difference would Yuvraj could have made. People often forget that Yuvraj is destructive only in the shorter forms of the match. In test, he is a proven under-performer. A better option would be to blood Pujara instead of Raina who also looks to be in Yuvraj's mold while playing tests. However, he still is young and deserves more chances.

REDIFF IS NOT RELEASING THE 2G SCAM AND OTHER SCAMS NEWS ON ITS WEBSITE.....AS THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE SHARE FROM THE LOOT FROM CONGRESS...SO NEWS ARE CENSORED. CONGRESS WILL USE EVERYTHING TO DIVERT ATTENTION OF PEOPLE AWAY FROM SCAMS..AND INDIANS HAVE SHORT MEMORY AS WELL

I agree, when govt.related scams featured in media, certain website keeps mum which raises susceptibility of their neutral position. On the other hand our media raises hue & cry for very ordinary issues like price rise of onion sidelining other essential commodoities. Indian cricket team played well despite such huge loss. We should expect same domination like 2nd innings batting in other two test matches too.

Suresh Raina a mediocre player!!
by Nationalistic Patriot on Dec 22, 2010 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

Suresh Raina is a mediocre player. He is good enough only for ODIs & T20 or to play tests on flat pitches.Badrinath will be a much better choice.

But Suraish Raina qualification is not matched with others. (Team mate of dhoni in (CSK) & one of the best friend of Dhoni in Team.

the analysis should revolve around the pitch.. what if safrica
by soco on Dec 22, 2010 08:58 AM

batted first the story might had been different..
the team which score 136 in first innings goes on to socre 450 in 2nd means it all.
why to talk about uncapped players even irfan, ishant were uncapped when called for aus series and they shined.
and dont fool by saying india was under pressure for holding its No.1 possible,
have we ever played for that i doubt, these are mere speculation and media pressure on indian team
even dravid is patchy...and going along just under the favours of selectors... if not should have axed as wasim jaffer was when out of form....and also dhoni's form is not commendable

One loss by Team India and the daggers are out. Number one or not, what is important is how the team bounces back from an embarrassing loss. Good luck to Team India.

All the fuss is because India is rated # 1 in tests. If India was rated way down below like Pakistan then no one would have cared that much.
