Sachin can hold his head high into the sunset if he can win the World Cup for India! Or else he will go down in history as the Indian who scored the most runs but not matches!

Please do not ridicule a great man like this. So what if he is not able to win the world cup. He has done for much than what is expected from a cricketer. Playing cricket doesnt mean that India should or will always win, what really matters is the sprit in which the game is played. Sachin is and will be the great cricketer ever. He will never go down in histroy. Feel sorry for a low-hearted loser like u

so he should win the world cup and other 10 players should just watch and pass the time on the field. are you an idiot?

Pointing scored 100s in the world cup when it matters and won them 2 cups.. That is the difference

1st of all... I don;t think ur age is more than 23. u still need to grow up mentally.
as far as ur question is concerned - neither Sehwag, Gambhir, Dhoni or Dravid can ever be SACHIN TENDULKAR. Listen to Sehwag and Dravid in today's news; u will understand what i mean
Re: Re: Others also Guilty
by Muhammed on Dec 20, 2010 06:41 PM
Yeah nobody can be compared to Tendulkar --- Very Soon he will be recognized as Only Player to represent 6 World Cups and not being a part of single World Cup winning TITLE. THIS Record is unbeatable for SURE
Re: Endulkar?
by Activex on Dec 20, 2010 06:15 PM
Sachin does not score runs, he gets hard time from Indian public He scores runs, he still gets hard time by Indian public. This is ridiculous.
Guys remember, Three years before Inzamam along with Asif scored 75 runs, in that Inzamam contributed 70 runs and Asif only 5, eventually that test pak won, Watch sachin did with the tail endr's , He should learn from Inzamam that tactics.
Re: Learn Sachin ...
by Phillip James on Dec 20, 2010 06:52 PM
I think we are digressing from the issue. Agreed, Tendulkar should have shielded the tailenders. Maybe he erred. But this isn't what triggered the test loss. Match wouldn't have progressed to fifth day if not for Tendulkar and Dhoni. I think lead bowlers and other batsmen have to take the blame, and improvise. Criticising Tendulkar, just because a non-achiever like Graeme Smith did so, is playing into his hands (nobody criticsed Kallis when he couldn't score 5-6 runs in last over in the one-day match vs India). Our bowlers need to fire if we are to win the next test. Smith and co, the eternal chokers, are big-mouths till somebody gives it back to them. Our bowlers have to do that.

do u really think that sachin the great need to learn from a illogical person like u, go get a life first

Dude, check how many runs Sreesanth and the other tailender scord. Also there was no win for India in this scenario. Wake up.

How abt asking the Tail-Ender to learn how to atleast hold a bat first leave alone batting.
No one will tomorrow dare question Sachin for the loss! True that Sachin has done wonders with the bat and brought accolades to the nation, but the fact remains that when it has mattered in crunch situations he has fallen short. Now, one can argue that there are others in the team as well. But, if you are considered as 'God' of cricket, then better live up to the powers of the almighty! The truth is: Sachin is a mere mortal whose heart beats for cricket...but then the hand that rocks the willow surely doesn't rule the world!

Boss....someone had to stick with him for a longer period if India had to save the match. Dhoni did that and Dravid also for a certain period.Things could have been different if Dhoni had not got out yesterday. And how can you say Sachin has fallen short in crunch situation. This was a crunch situation and he batted right through. What is Sachin's fault if he ran out of partners.

The point is he could have prevented the tailenders from being exposed. The point is also taken that he ran out of partners but the observation about not being a match winner is in reference to his earlier track records. Yes, he has on umpteem occassion set up the platfrom to win matches for India, but when it comes to winning matches on his own shoulders you can count that on your finger. He has not played innings like he did against Australia in Sharjah...I am not discredting him but think media goes over the top every time he creates records.

Watch before speaking is the saying. Match is always a team play not one man's play, once in 100 matches is the time when one man do miracle of saving such a match. See the scores, India 136, SA: 620, noone could have saved it. Fighters are respected and it was once again superb display by SRT and MSD. Dont expect wonders from humans. What did the bowlers do when SA scored 620/4. This is strategy fault. Indians should have played some friendly matches before the test match. So nothing personal about it. How does it matter if few exceptions talk bad about such a wonderful player. There are people who can not do any thing but can only back bite and come up with only pit falls but no praise. World praises him and flat on his performance what if there are mug heads who can not appreciate good work. There is noone like Tendulkar. SRT is only one, just unique. Look who all are talking about and posting comments on a great player. Its very easy to comment and very hard to perform and even harder to maintain. And SRT did it all.

The point is here sachin could have only extended the inevitable by max hour or so.It was impossible to shield the hopeless tailenders. In the recent Laxman-Sharma Partnership against Australia Ishant faced more deliveries than laxman and survived. So stop blaming sachin. The real culprits are bowlers who were taken to cleaners by SA batsmen.SA would have scored 1000 runs if they had not declared. No SACHIN,LARA or Bradman would have saved this team.So Please critise the culprits(bowlers) and Not Sachin because he was only silver lining in the dark cloud.
Re: Selectors made fault
by BHARATIYAN on Dec 20, 2010 05:54 PM
Yes Murali u r right SA is not the place to blood newcomers unfortunately our selectors seem to be out of logic.Really it is a sad moment for our cricket.Mithun bowled his heart out on lifeless pitches in Srilanka nad deserved another go at the top.SHAME ON OU R SELECTORS.
Re: Re: Re: Selectors made fault
by BHARATIYAN on Dec 20, 2010 06:11 PM
Mithun looks far more talented and skilled than Unadkat...I have seen couple of Mithun's spells and that guy could bowl..so don't go by pace alone...Mithun definitely have ability to bowl those Wicket-Taking deliveries.
Re: why did he make tailenders bat so much?
by Shaik Jilani on Dec 20, 2010 07:14 PM
So much?? :) They were dismissed in no time. They are hopeless. Talk about bowling and useless Raina
1. take puajara as No:7 instead of raina 2. Push sachin to open the innings with sehwag and push gambhir to 3. 3. Dravid to four. 4. Dhoni as Number five and laxman at 6
our bowling is hopeless. If Sachin, Rahul, VVS retire then test matches would be finished with in 3 days. Who are going to replace them. Raina has horrible technique. This guy tries to play to square cover on bouncy wickets. Rohit Sharma bats as if he is in sleep. Yuvraj has been hopeless in tests. Yousuf cant play short pitch bowling. Where are the batsmen and bowlers? Munaf is better than Sreesanth any day. He comes close to stumps while bowling and gets extra bounce which is very important in SA. Man, Kumbles flipper was around 110 KMPH and our fast bowlers are bowling at 120 KMPH. Atleast Irfan used to bat a bit than these good for nothing bowlers.
adore Sachin a lot and believe he puts his heart when he plays...but then there is no denying that at the end of the day he has never been a match winner when it comes to crunch situations...sad
Re: Re: The truth about 'Sach'
by Activex on Dec 20, 2010 06:17 PM
don't understand that why you don't understand. you can save match by playing out 98 overs with 2 tailenders against the best bowling attack in the world. now you get it?
Re: Re: The truth about 'Sach'
by Shaik Jilani on Dec 20, 2010 05:35 PM
Good that he let tail enders face the music. He made them know how hostile test match bowling should be.
Re: The truth about 'Sach'
by Shaik Jilani on Dec 20, 2010 05:37 PM
yep, we have match winners in Ishant, sreesanth. 4 sessions 600 runs and u expect miracles in test matches. Wake up.

probably for us , even in battle ground it is more important to have a warrior who killed most soldiers from enemy side than winning the battle itself.
