Yesterday,he dedicated hundred to his father, Today he should also dedicate this loss to his father, I am not saying he is responsible for defeat, but he left bad taste in mouth by giving strike to 10 and jack, I had respect for him till yesterday but he lost everything today. He should retire now, he achieved the feat. and i tell u one more thing In world cup because of him Kohli will not get chance to play. so sachin retire not because of batting but ur behaviour.

It was strange to see Sachin not forming the strike knowing well that 30 odd runs were required. He was simply leaving number 10 and 11 to take strike. It was a game of cricket test match . No other batsman would have done what Sachin has done today No effort to go for big hits or intention to protect the 10 and 11.Very strange-may be he wanted to remain 'not out'. Is it not a team game Sachin? The amount of elation I had yesterday has been deflated today by the spineless batting of India today.

how many balls were bowled, how many were faced by Sachin?

Yeh I agree with you. Though I have not seen the 5th days play.

spineless batting today!!! my friend the match was already lost, sachin could have thrown his bat around a bit and made it difficult for SA but it was spineless, cowardly, thoughtless, strategy less captaincy from Dhoni on day 3 which made us lose the match

if sachin not score a century india will be all out for less score
Suresh Raina total score on 6 in this match is a poor selection from team selection body. He looks pathetic in his shot selection on bouncy track & High time to give chance to Pujara or Vijay to peform..i think Sursh Raina is a gone Case as far his technique is concern & this guy has given lot of oppotunity compared to other fellow cricketers .
Re: Suresh Raina Justification
by miviu on Dec 20, 2010 04:43 PM
His technique on pacy pitches and against good bowling attack is really questionable...
Re: change the team for 2nd Test!!!
by supratim saha on Dec 20, 2010 04:23 PM
brother actually this test was supposed 2 be a draw,it was written all ova that this pitch ll have tonnes of runs, but the rain and our suicide batting gave sa a win...however 2nd test zaheer and pujara shud be back and replace unfit sreesanth with umesh, add some pace
Yet another example of amassing personal records by Indian players versus match winning performances. How many times has one seen any Indian player resurrecting the team from the brink and not amassing any personal record? The answer is 'none'. It's high time Indian players put their personal records/interests in the back burner and played for the country. So what if Sachin scored 50 hundreds??? How many were match winners??? While he can be called a good player, he certainly doesn't deserve to be called 'God'!!! Indian players should have a lot of grit and character to pull off match winning performances on challenging pitches. A match winning 50 or 100 is far far better than scoring triple hundred in a dull and drawn match!!!

south africa were just lucky and tendulkar unlucky.. u r talkin non sense!

What can tendulkar do if other batsman not support.I think he has to play both side ?
Re: Of Personal Records Vs. Match Winners
by asha on Dec 20, 2010 04:31 PM
You are very true. Tendulkar is a good player but doesn't deserve to be called God. If he is a God then why he wasn't able to score a decent score in the first innings. Indians are idiots who doesn't have heroes in sports to be proud of. So they are just trying to make a hero.
Re: Re: Of Personal Records Vs. Match Winners
by miviu on Dec 20, 2010 04:39 PM
Your comment indicates u don't understand the game, nor do u have common sense... Do wanted him to score 500 runs by himself to wipe off the deficit.. when all other batsmen have failed to apply themselves to the task. Its a team game, ... He is not good Player... greatest ever..
only the 2 new ball bowlers are good for SA others are rubbish, Jadeja on NDTV claims SA bowling attack is best in the world , clearly he does not watch much cricket when India is not involve Eng have the best bowlng attack in Tests
Re: SA
by chelsea on Dec 20, 2010 04:23 PM
Eng has a good bowling attack but SA is the best because of Steyn and Morkel. Eng don't have someone with that 'X' factor. Johnson for Aus is another such player but he is inconsistent.
Re: SA
by sundar raju on Dec 20, 2010 08:03 PM
then why did england struggle inSA Dude wake up Parnell is another exciting talent much better than amny indian quicks
Re: SA
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 04:11 PM
Forget the tests in SA... I am thinking about how they will tackle ENG, SA, AUS or even WI bowlers for that matter in WC.
Let's not even talk about our bowling attack. Our batsmen already assume a target or 300 in 50 overs for ODI.
1)how luck single handedly can win u a match.... 2)gr8 come back by indian batsmen...... even steyn and comp cldnt restrict indians to low score in second innings..... commons frnds...1st match in south africa...w/o pratice match on a green top....that to wet....give a thought....
Re: this match will be remebered...for 2 reasons
by chelsea on Dec 20, 2010 04:28 PM
Dude, barring first innings of India. Both teams bowled on same pitch. SA got 10 wickets but India struggled to get 4. Also, first day was only 40 overs. India would have had the best batting conditions on day 2. A number one ranked team with such heavy weight batsmen should be able to last more than 40 overs no matter what the conditions. Even if they lost 5 wickets, they'd be able to score some decent runs on the second day.

Same luck favored India in eng 2nd test 2007 Dravid won toss and sent Eng in exactly some conditions as was on day 1 here ,India won the match by 7 wickets Only difference Eng bowled much better then India did here
is our new ball bowler. This 5 foot guy is bowling at 120 kmph and hardly reaching Dhoni :). Good that Sachin exposed these guys to Steyn and Morkel. Fast bowlers should bowl fast and the new guy is as skinny as Deepika padukone
In bowling is 150 runs per wicket in this match, below average on any standard, can't blame batsman, sachin played well so did dhoni sehawag and gambir, they would have played better that's what we can say.
Re: Bowlers contribution
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 03:50 PM
Absolutely agree with you buddy. Thank god, at least someone understands the real problem. We just don't have a bowling attack. We need a real good all rounder or may be 2 of them. So that we can cover these red1culous bowlers of ours.
Re: Re: Bowlers contribution
by srinivas satyanarayan on Dec 20, 2010 03:57 PM
well the question mark is how our seletors solve this! we absolutely dont have any such prospects after zaheer in 16 member squad, ishant too under performing, munaf- npt seen him bowling recently
We dont have bowlers who can bowl out SA twice in a Test match in the current series. Sreeshant & Ishant are below par. That new guy Unadkat is too frustrating . He is physically weak & even cant bowl with 130 km/h. SA batsmen are playing like they are against a local team.
Re: Our Bowlers were Pathetic
by ashish mutha on Dec 20, 2010 04:02 PM
I THINK MITHUN,VINAY KUMAR OR ASHWIN WOULD BE BETTER CHOICE FOR BOWLERS THAN SREESHANTH AND ISHANTH OR UNADKAR..
