As usual the pre-tour arrangements and organisation by BCCI for the series in SA reeks of complete and utter incompetence to say the least. BCCI is run by people with complete lack of intelligence and of course, one shouldn’t forget the entire nincompoop Netaji’s who are involved. So India yet again pays the price for no pre-tour matches or preparations. If practicing in the nets is considered adequate enough then everyone is good enough to play for India. I can understand GK not saying much as he is there to make sure that he earns his money besides the facf that he hardly gets any credit or paid attention to, but others stalwarts of Indian Cricket are merely there to toe the line and bend down like slaves. They hardly criticise their bosses at BCCI. Especially RS and SG to name a few Besides, Indian bowlers are the only ones in the world cricket who start out at 90 mph and end up being cannon fodder in a year or two. Does anyone remember Pathan’s bowled to Gilchrist – clocked at 90 mph and, now where he is with 80 mph or less and nowhere to be seen? Sharma is going in the same direction, as he is hardly able to reach 85 let alone 90 mph. Once one gets into the Indian side, it is then normal for them to chase all the girls and especially all the Bollywood starlets. No wonder there is any energy left.
Sachin knows his test record will be under threat as long as Ponting and Kallis is playing around. So he will play till he is 40 plus and maybe 200 test matches. If he was really the BEST then he should have scored

You are a big joke. Pointing is at 38 hundreds. It means 12 more and going by his current rate to score this he has to play at least 4 more years.

I am sorry to say that you dont know the C of cricket. You should first learn and then comment about Sachin.

I am sure you must be getting a C rating in your performance apprisal in your company.
We have lost the match but the class and outstanding class of Sachin was major highlight of this match at 37 he played same intensity as debutant cricketer. When we discuss sachin we discuss of skills and exclusive art of batting that he display which is unique which cannot be matched because those competancies have been developed over the years of hard work and experience to play all kind of great bowlers and all kinds of test wickets in all countries across world.
This competancies makes difference when all cricketers discuss about sachins achievements. Wining or loosing is part of game but one man play on his merit and class is the difference that opposition team worried about is sachin and his class and art of batting.

I agree with every word of urs. I am an ardent worshipper of Sachin too and I firmly believe there is no one better than him. Only thing tat is bothering me is the way he handled the 5th day of the test. I know it was impossible for India to even come closer to hav saved this match but I think Sachin was still capable of surpassing their score and making the Proteas bat again to win. He made no effort to guard Sreesanth, Unakdat or India's pride. If at all there was someone who could hav saved us from an innings defeat. It was he !!!
WE HAVE SEEN YOU GROW FROM THE FIRST BALL FACED TILL NOW .A GENIOUS IS ONE WHO WILL NOT SPEAK BUT LET HIS PERFORMANCE DO THE TALKING . YOU ARE ONE SACHIN ....A MEMORABLE INNINGS UNDER PRESSURE AND ONE FOR KEEP SAKE ...... INDEED YOU ARE GREAT SACHIN . NO WORDS TO EXPRESS OUR WISHES AND FEELING FOR YOU ....

Very correct. Such a nice human being is being abused by many in this forum. Guyana's sports minister's comments speak volume of Sachin's feat. His comments are: MINISTER of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS) Dr. Frank Anthony has joined the band of well wishers in extending heartfelt congratulations to India’s batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved his 50th Test century in the first Test against South Africa at Centurion Park, yesterday. Dr. Anthony’s message reads; “Congratulations to Sachin Tendulkar on his historic achievement of 50 test centuries, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the entire cricketing fraternity here in Guyana. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours as he plays the gentleman’s game of cricket, and at the same time continue to further etch his name in the historic columns of the sport.

by sriramulu on Dec 20, 2010 06:48 PM
sachin's test average is 57, ponting's is 53.8.
but dont forget sachin is playing when scoring 250 in 90 overs in a day is average. nowadays 350 per 90 overs is common. i wish to say sachin scored runs when runs are rare. he is defenitely great.

by LG on Dec 20, 2010 06:35 PM
But who stopped or is stopping them not to play as many test as Sachin plays.
if things turns out on the basis of if and buts then you wont be wasting your time here criticizing a legend instead of having a successful life, which you do not have I am 100% sure.

no body in world cannot play cricket as long as sachin carrer-hats off sachin you rocks the world

by Anirudh on Dec 20, 2010 07:31 PM
If you neglect the greatest factor (of having played for 21 years with consistency, even after injuries), then you can find many players who could break the record had they played 21 years consider the average and intensity they showed in their 3 or 4 years small career.

Calm down. There is no reason to b upset like this on racial basis like Hitler, who used to think that Germans r the best and they should rule the world. All people in the world can b good or bad, succesful or unsuccesful. It all depends on the circumstances in which a person is raised. Similarly all states hv their great persons. In cricket we've great players like Dhoni, Shaurabh Ganguli, Vishwnath, Shahwag etc from different parts of India. U hv also to remember the proverb - united we rise and divided we fall. See most of western european countries hv now united. In old days they used to fight amongst themselves, thinking that they r better than others, like what u r thinking.

Oh my god. Shame on Maharashtra to have a person like you.. Sorry brother, grow up..
After 20 plus years & achived which no one has & clearly way ahead of the rest we INDIANS are questioning SACHIN R TENDULKARs ABALITY & DEDICATION. Its like questining Roger fedrer wht hav you done til now SACHIN IS THE GREATEST ONE TO PLAY CRICKET even the DON played his most cricket against english & SACHIN has played all over the world TAKE A BOW
Re: MAD INDIANS
by Zinda Dil on Dec 20, 2010 06:28 PM
You have some valid points. But you are wrong about Don. He played his cricket against England alright, but England then was the best team around. He was the only player who could even score in the bodyline series... Did Tendulkar every play against fast bowlers like Holding, Garner, Croft, Marshal etc?
Re: Re: MAD INDIANS
by SUDIP BANERJEE on Dec 20, 2010 06:42 PM
You have some valid poinT. But you are wrong. Can you please tell me if any coach/bowler (Who palyed with Done) ever done Analysis Don's batting style, His weakness. But allmost every oponent are doing the same thing with Sachin's batting But then also he is unstopable.......
Re: MAD INDIANS
by Jai Hind on Dec 20, 2010 06:32 PM
No. U r mistaken.
Nobody, even those who oppose Sachin, feels any doubt about his ability. what is lacking in him is that he never delivers when most needed be it in the field of game or when most of the politics were going on and he had some ability to influence the outcomes, he never delivered for the nation. that is what is a reason for some Indians to be angry with him. When compared to any cricketer around the globe every Indian certainly votes Sachin But when it comes to the role he played for India and Indian cricket, there are lot more better players within India such as kapil, ganguly, Dhoni and Kumble, robin singh etc who played, delivered for the country.
