I am not a big follower of cricket, but irrespective of some jealous people's negative comments about Sachin, we all have to just bow our head for the excellent dedication he had for the past these many years.
Whoever talks about not winning a world cup for India or sachin not winning matches India singlehandedly have to think that Sachin was playing for "India", where during the peak of his career, he knows himself very well that if he falls, the whole team falls, and he had to limit his game on several occasions thinking just this in his head.
No one should compare Lara's or Ponting's individual efforts with Sachin's.
Lara knows himself vry well that if he falls, there was this world class players like Hooper and Logi and Dujon to follow and on the top there was always Gayle or Richardson.
As is the case with Ponting where the was the great Waugh brothers, Martin and the suprb Gilchrist waiting, in case if he falls.
If India as a team could not capitalize on the good base Sachin had given on numerous occasions, it is not Sachin's fault, but the fault of the other team members.
Irrespective of anyone's negative comments, that too strangely from our Indians itself, it is a well known fact that the whole planet has accepted him as the best batsmen of this century, Lara's comments or Richard's comments about him is just a common fact.

I dont think India is going to win the WC this time too..its mainly becoz its filled with a star studded team which makes them pressurize to perform @ given day/pitch.But if you look @ the WC performances of 1983 or 2008(T20),both didnt have any star players (yes,1983 had 2 in the name of kapil n sunny) but still they won, since they didnt had any pressure to perform..so i feel this young team which has beaten NZ,has all the potential to be world beaters, especially in India for the WC..

The best team will win the Wrld Cup.
India and England are the favourite. Srilanka and south africa have a mild chance No chance for pakistan / Newzealand / West Indies and rest of the minor teams. No one wants to see Australia win / even the Aussies

Yes sachin is very talented and he should only achieve this and no body will come close to him that right. But Mr. Vivian Richards in the history of the game called Cricket you will alawys be rated above this man who has made all records. Records is just one part succcess.

Why Sachin prefers only in the opening slot in ODIs. Is it because he feels pressure down the order??
Why Sachin can't open in Tests?? Is it because he could not stand the new ball???
Why Sachin is selective in playing ODIs? Is it because no one stands a chance to beat his ODI records?
There is a myth that Sachin chooses his playing matches selectively. Why he played test matches against NZ?? India an easily win without him.
There are many instances where Sachin could not bat in trying conditions.
The below list notes only the instances where, though he failed in those trying conditions, India still managed to win.
1) Eden garden's 2001 Test
2) Nat West 2002 Final
3) Chennai 2001 Test Vs Australia, during the second inning, Indians were chasing 170 odd runs. There was pressure when India lost quick wickets. Sachin could not with stand the pressure and failed. India still managed to win with Laxman's fighting knock. In the first innings he scored a 100 when the score line read 211/2 and in the best batting friendly conditions.
4) Very recently he failed in trying conditions against Australia Test series.

Please STOP Such Nonsence, Sachin knows how to play, when to play, how to win; Because of Batting he left the captancy; he knows he is not a good Captain; please appritaite; Even when nationals are praising him, you please learn; Don't always think with typical Indian narrow mind;

FYI the bangalore test he won single handedly for India.... he came when india were 10 for 2 and then scored a double ton.. also he scored the winning runs in the second innings.....people have so short term memory..awful !!

Sir Donald Bradman, Viv Richards, Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting etc never opened in test matches. Is it because they fear new ball ?
I do not understand how his not playing ODIs would keep his records intact. I think it is the other way round, playing more ODIs would actually help him to retain his records (like highest number of runs scored).
There are instances when batsman like Gavaskar, Lara, Ponting, Dravid, Laxman etc have failed in "trying" conditions. Why don't you list them too ?

Chatterjee: Is Dada tested by any chance?? Shall we also include him in the list??
Sachin does not have to fear about playing ODIs as he is way ahead of anyone in statistics.

this is typical loser talk from you buddy. he opens in one days, but he cant face the new ball. he plays down the order in tests yet you say he cant face pressure. you are so self contradictory that tomorrow youll be hating yourself for being there. grow up man. do something, anything worthwhile before hacking up others

Sachin plays ODI in the opening slot where there are less fielding restrictions and ball would come nicely on to the bat.
In tests it would be testing time for openers to preserve wickets. Yes he plays down the order here. It is not contradiction. Have you seen Sachin scored runs when score line read 17/5?? Please don't again come with naive thought that he would not get a chance at 5 wickets down. There are many instances where he failed in those situations...

This fellow must be better than Sir Viv Richrads or Sir Don Bradman himself and many other international cricket greats, that he has guts to say something only a fool can say !
I have been watching international matches right from 1967 by standing in queue 3Km long for 3 days & nights & never seen anyone as good & committed as Sachin -not even Sunil Gavaskar
You don’t have to go to psychiatrist to get your head examined, any one reading your post can give you certificate that you are world class f

Those are just my opinion. Playing 20 years is great. Kapil Dev won the world cup with ordinary team than the team Sachin played who most certainly failed when it mattered most.

Only fool can say player who has played for 20 yrs of international cricket is bad captain. It was Azahar,Jadeja & others who were fixing matches & underperforming during Sachins captainacy which lead to his frustations and it was good that he gave up capataincy.Cricket is team game & if many of your team mates are invovled in making money by selling country's interests what you can do? It was not surprising that Ajay Jadeja had to mary polticians daughter or Azhar became MP to remain in public domain. Its pity that people forget the facts.
