1) Does any one at least know or heard of uncovered pithes (during Bradman era) ???
2) Does any one at least know or heard that Bradman played with a stump during his practice sessions???
3) Every time one bash at Sachin, people bring his statistics to his defence. Sachin played with better team than Kapil Dev, but yet there is no world cup. Given that is he so called THE_GOD_OF_CRICKET, why he could not lift the team up in trying conditions to win a world cup??

Don Bradman had said, "Sachin plays like me"........but he never said, Sachin wins matches like me....ha ha ha
We can agree with Viv Richards statement on Sachin provided Sachin plays at least 2 matching winning/saving fast big Test hundreds/1 fast Triple against good opposition (like Sehwag has been doing since his startdate). Till that time, just ignore any positive talks on Tendya and haillllll Mr. True Batsman Sehwag, the man with 2 fast triple, 2 fast double hundred, 15 fast 150 hundreds. Amazing records any batsman can dream of. Hailllll Sehwag

i am not a blind supporter of sachin but u are definetly a blind hater of him.. whose sole aim to come for a cricket discussion is bashing sachin.. ur talk start and end with criticizing sachin.. u loser

Sachin is great no doubt, but Sehwag is the real matchwinner for India and the main reason for India being the no.1 test side.He gives the advantage with his quick scores and demoralises the opposition. He singlehandedly creates match winning situations for others to thrive upon.

Sehwag is one of the greatest cricketer, the world has ever seen, but unfortunately, he is rarely given due credit by all and sundry simply because as a opener, he does not play the conventional way!

Most importantly we, indians don't appreciate him, while people all over the world admire him.
sachin was never a team leader and was happy getting tucked in the team as just one of the players... this explains why a person like dhoni much younger than sachin in both and experience got the leadership position.... in other words sachin can think very well for himself... then he was never getting the bigger picture, i.e. leading the team to something big... thinking for others also, motivating them, making them to play to their fullest limits, where somethings sachin never understood... all he knew was if he played a big innings it will be helpful for the team in the bigger picture that he saw.. he cant be blamed for that, though. thats why he ended up getting the instructions rather than giving them.
Ponting team came India and won in INdia.. Sachin team never won in AUS...Not a single WC... So ponting better. Sachin is an excellent stat maker . Example: India Aus series in 2003-2004, Sachin made a slow 200 where India could have won if he has played a fast attacking innings. He failed in the 3 innings before by giving slip catches, so he didnt even atempt a shot on halfside, played completely on Onside and made 200..In the end match ended in a draw. Everybody blamed Parthiv Patel for dropping steve waugh catch, but he is the real culprit.
He made 242 runs in 436 deliveries. He could have made those runs lot faster. He came when India was 200/3, decently placed, not a very crucial situation. In the previous 3 test matches, failed by giving slip catches on the half side. So he wanted to prove a point, so he didnt even touch a single ball on halfside, and played completly onside. India wouldnt have lost this match if Sachin didnt played, as Laxman also made 178. Again a guy with almost 15 yrs exp..played such a horrible innings.

In all these it is well known fact what Sydney is a Flat Pitch and bowlers need time to take wickets. If a guy has played 15 yrs and considered as GOD of cricket, he should understand all these. Then what is the point considering him the greatest.

ok..it's al lsachin's fault if fielder's keep dropping catches..bowlers keep failing to defend good totals and batsmen keep failing support him! examples are: India posted a total of 330 odd runs against Pak in Pak where he made some 140 runs but yet they lost it! Chasing a target of 350 runs against Aussies he made 175 runs but 3 batsmen couldn't make 17 runs from 18 balls where they had 1-2 overs of powerplay! If Parthiv hadn't dropped that catch..who knows we might not have needed that "30 overs or 1 session?" After all, Steve's wicket wasn't that easy..or was it?

There is lot of diff between Parthiv and Sachin..Sure Pathiv could be excused, his first season in AUS, so he also holds responsibility. But u shuld have watched that innings live, it was such a pain. There were times he could have accelerated the innings, when India were close to 350-400/4, what he needed is just go after their bowling which is already demoralized. India could have won the series. BTW Steve was in bad form in this series. BTW I am talling abt test matches...He is fantastic in ODI..no doubt..

sometimes..you have to give some befits to a batsman to get back in to form! almost all of Dravid's innings have come this way. Why don;'t you people make comments about his slow innins? Sachin's strike rate in test matches in 54 and dravid's is way below 50 (some 44), what about him? It doesn't matter to dravid in whatever situation tha match is he'll play damn slow.. Sachin plays a slow innings once in a while and you people just start a war against him!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Poting Better
by mohan reddy on Dec 12, 2010 03:11 PM
That's why Dravid is called WALL. Not GOD OF CRICKET. A team should have all type of players. Player like Sachin and Sehwag should score and player like Dravid should provide support by staying at the crease. You select the team based on individual potential. Had Dravid been like Sachin, probably, Dravid would have missed many matches.

Guys, the guy srini, says its 'onside' and 'HALFSIDE' twice..its not a typo... hahhah..look at his cricketing knowledge..and he is commenting on sachin....hahhahhah
Hey srini, its ok dude...when ur 9 or 10 come back and comment..its too early now to understand sachin
Bulshit talk by Viv Richards. Sehwag/Ponting/Kallis/Sangakkara/Cook can break his records provided they also play the same amount of test matches he played. Also, more number of hundreds should not be used to judge great batsmanship, but instead it should be judged on average number of hundreds(20), fast hundreds, more double hundreds, triple hundred, and good batting average. Taking into account of all this, Sehwag and Sangakkara stands especially Sehwag is truly the real great batsman considering 2 fast triple, 15 150 hundreds, batting avg 55. Amazing records for Sehwag. If he plays like 170 matches like Tendya, Sehwag will cross 50 hundreds(all fast hundreds) and hence will be regarded as greatest after Bradman. So forget Sachin, Hailllllll the new great batsman named Sehwag.

Dude,
Here is how many innings each of the players you mentioned take for each hundred. Sachin is infact better than the guys you mentioned. Richards knows what he is talking about and you dont. Sehwag is a great player, but no need to diminish what Sachin did to make Sehwag look better. Both are good in their own right.
