Sameer, you think Eitherways, hehas been giving lot of chances to youngsters . The youngsters don't deserve such opportunities is another matter.
But the truth is that these youngsters do deserve that much chances and whatever chances these youngsters have got they have performed very decently. They are very rarely sure how much chance they will get in a particular series. Many times they get chances only because one of the regular members of the team is not playing that match for a particular reason (like injury, rest, rotation etc.) sometimes they get to know that they are playing just one day before the match or sometimes even on the day of the match. It is just that you don’t have the eyes and brain to see/notice/understand that. That is because you are comparing their records with sachin’s total performance till now. That is silly how you can compare sachin performance after about 450 odis (most of them in opening position) with these newcomers who have not played that much. Some may have played 10 matches some 30 or somebody may have played 50 matches.

So when you people ridicule the new players saying that look at their average it is 24 or 27 or 29 or 33 or something like that after playing so many matches. See that sachin average after 64 innings was also mere 30.74 runs and if we remove the inflated average his real average is only 26.42 runs. You would ridicule somebody with the above record as saying see he has played almost 70 matches and still no century. See how many centuries sachin has scored close to 50 centuries. That is the way you people think.

Sachin record before he started to open the innings.
Matches innings notout total runs average strike rate 100s 50s
67 64 9 1691 30.74 74.10 0 12
(what would you call that newcomer if his record is something like the above record?)
BTW the if we remove the not out innings and treat them as completed innings so that the inflated average is removed then his average i.e. no. of runs scored per innings is 26.42 (1691 (runs)/ 64 (innings played)
I think at least sachin had the security that he was going to play the above no. of matches at his position down the order. Some of these newcomers did not have even this type of security.
So you see even the great sachin had the above record playing down the order. How does this performance compare with the sachin’s performance after about 450 odi (most of them in opening position)? Would it be fair if we compare somebody’s performance after around 450 odis to somebodys performance after around 70 odis? (like the above example. even then i am taking sachin example. sachin after around 450 odis and sachin after around 70 odis. see the difference even with the same players record.) That is the thing you people are doing all the time.

so if he played , i bet you would log on another id and whine " sachin make way for youngsters please"

Let the loser younger players play etc.

Eitherways, hehas been giving lot of chances to youngsters . The youngsters don't deserve such opportunities is another matter.

WC is 6 months away, and tendy mentioned that he will consider retiring from ODI after wc 2011.

SEHWAG the Hero..DHONI the Zero
by SKM Prasad on Aug 17, 2010 01:16 AM  | Hide replies

Mahender Singh Dhoni is one of the worst Indian captain I have seen in my cricket life. He had very good team generated by Saurav Ganguly during the initial days of his captaincy career. He was enjoying with them and won T20 world cup.. latter the players generated by Ganguly started loosing their form. This useless Dhoni don’t know how to build the team or generate good cricket team. Number 1 selfish he is..He don’t want India to win matches. Win or loose will not make difference for hi. He is captain cool no..he is getting his money if India will win or loose..

Because of Dhoni India (Hindustan’s) name is getting spoiled. Through him out and start building one talented captain like KAPIL DEV / AJAY JADEJA / SAURAV GANGULY

it was in very poor taste in the way sangakara let go a straight delivery for 4 runs and the way randiv deliberately overstepped to deny sehwag a well deserved century. Shame on them!!

if you watch the match carefully maybe the highlights, you would clearly listen to sanga trying to tell randiv dont let him(sehwag) score a hundred hence he boled wide, because anywhere else sehwag would have hit as he did it for a six... really shameful behaviour

Reddy Garu, You'd send the exact same message a couple of months ago. Do you save these in a textpad or something and copy paste when needed? :-p

Well, the team chances have totally being reduced by the recent performance of the "Youth" - Rohit Sharma, Kohli, Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Vijay G, Karthik, Raina (at times)....

Don't single out a Karthik and Ashwin. Ashwin did not even get to play the matches for us to access him. If Jadeja can get 100 chances, Ashwin deserves 10.. Stop mixing your regionalism in this and try to give it as a fact!!! All your posts here are poisoned with Anti-Tamil Nadu feeling. It wont sell much Mr Reddy... Talk sense, ppl will buy it...!!

by Sandeep on Aug 17, 2010 12:33 AM  | Hide replies

There are many occassions when one can srilankans do not have any sportman spirit.
In 1997 in one of the test against India, they were playing for record and scored 952/6.
Murali Chukker.
Malinga Throw ball king.
Sangakara No 1 in crying.

Today Viru was denied 100.

Randiv tune sher ko lalkara hai. Ab tu Randeev nahi, Run -- Dee kahalega.

Now today I appeal to everyone here, if any IPL team takes Run --- Dee in their team, DO NOT WATCH THAT MATCH. APPEAL TO ALL INDIANS.

i can npoint out 2-3 more instances.

The lankan umpires bringing out the light meter when lankans were losing the finals in 1997.
Lankans appealing to run out tendy and the bowler pretending that the ball grazed his fingers on the way to the stumps, while replays clearly showed otherwise
