THE LAXMAN SPECIAL
by damodaran mohan on Aug 09, 2010 01:41 PM

Dhoni is right ,no wonder why he is called very very special laxman. Right from the start he came on to the crease he looked in good touch and his facial expression of resolve to stay till end could very well be seen. He really instilled confidence the way he was stroking the ball and it was not surprising that he made that match winning century.Of course Sachin-Laxman partnership laid the foundation and it was more of a team effort with Raina finishing off with a flurry .The tail enders also played their crucial part in taking the total past SL score which actually gave a realistic chance for India to win.It was a memorable Test with twists and turns of four and half days as interesting as we see in a 3hr T20 match.S/Raina is the single biggest positive of the Test series cementing his place in the India Test squad. The question now the selectors need to ask perhaps would be Dravid or Yuvraj?
