Yes, Dravid is flopped and may remove. What Dhoni, did except lifting trophy with Sangarakara. U idiot, stop v_o_m_i_t in this forum. sachin and sehwag got out early in the morning of the 3rd day. they put india in a good position. didn't they? Great! What laxman, raina, mithun and mishra did afterwards is useless. Great!
check the records, probably VVS is instrumental inall the tests which we have won in last 10 years. Dhoni says, laxman struggled for runs in this series. maybe his mind is out, laxman scored at an average of nearly 70. each innings he scored well. dont forget he has to bat with tail enders. what has dhoni/dravid done in this series.

raghu, you are an idiot, you cant understand what dhoni means. your mental level of understanding will surely find it difficult to understand him. it is true that probably VVS is instrumenal in all the test wins in the last 10 year. but laxman is not alone. dravid is also as much/more instrumental in those wins. but idiots like you only realise this in momentary flashes of understanding. all the other times it is only sachin all the way and nobody else contributes ever. it is only now that you understand laxman worth but if someone had asked you before this test who to drop you would have probably said drop laxman and take a fifth bowler. you understand now that laxman has to bat often with tailenders. get it in your thick head that dhoni always comes after laxman and he has to play with tail enders also and even with one specialist batsman less than laxman gets because he comes at least one position above dhoni.

Yes, true. But same time how Dhoni forgot to praise VIRU. He is the player who make u stand at that level to chase 267 runs, or else first innings, if you deduct tail enders contribution, then Viru is the player who made the difference for us, and same time first innings he got one wkt, and second innings 3 crucial wkts.. Any way, if you look out this entire series, Dhoni and Dravids were failed miserably. Then followed by Vijay. And, in bowling dept. Ishant and Bhaji were super flops, and Ojha was the star followed by Mithun. So, this is the high time management ask Dravid to give opportunity for young stars even to Yuvaraj, who played good cricket with one fifty in his 2 innings.

surya das, why did you run out from the asylum. that is your safest world. now you are singing praises of laxman. why did you forget him all this time? laxman and dravid have been reponsible for so many victories for the last decade. but whom have you have given that credit to? it is sachin who you gave that credit to.
sachin has failed countless times in difficult situations. he is the main one who creates and/or adds to the crunch situations. but you people blindly overlook this fact. and instead of giving credit to players who have performed many time more often than sachin in such crunch situations, you continue to say that sachin never creates crunch situations and instead plays well in them.
Blind adulation of sachin from fans like you has created chaos in the cricket world. now you are sayin ozha and mithun are stars. let them fail for 2 matches and you will make an about turn.

for example while giving statistics for 4 th innings century you have given sachin name. and then you ask 54 runs dont count do they? but when sachin made those century vs england sehwag and yuvraj scored more than 54 runs in the 4 th innings of that match. how many times have you or will you mention that?

Even high rated batsmen have fumbled or panicked while playing under pressure of reaching targets. But laxman is not a very celebrated or not even a very consistent Run scorer. But whenever he scored he did under extremely testing and trying conditions when any other batsman will fail. Laxman has to given a special award for saving the team when it is in dire straits. Kudos to him.

u r right..Sachin did do nothing yesterday. India were never in a dire situation at 60/4. Everyone knew there is Lax who will win the match for India. It's Lax who took India to victory when they were in real danger at 170/5, needed a huge target of 87 runs and only Raina, Dhoni were the specialist batsmen to come! Really Sachin did do nothing and his 54 runs were useless because they came when all the bowlers were tired, ball was soft and conditions were very good for batting!
Watching VVS Laxman bat is like reading poetry. He alongwith Azhar and Viswanath or a Maek Wagh or a Carl Hooper or Mohd Yousuff makes viewing cricket a great pleasure. Hope there will be more like him In India or abroad to grace the cricket fields.

I earlier called for VVS and Dravid retiring to pave way for younger players. Laxman proved me wrong and he deserves all credit for winning this game for India. VVS is a classy batsmen and perfect for test cricket. The younger players should learn from his stylish batting technique. I hope he continues to play for India in Test matches for a long time.
Dravid, however is a different issue. He has lost his resolve ever since he was removed as captain of Indian team after the T20 debacle at the West Indies. He should seriously think of retiring gracefully.

Exactly. Better he (Dravid) is not judged by just this series. He has been successful in the earlier tours.
By the way, Dravid was not removed as captain. As far as I know, Dravid himself has opted for that.

Anil kumble bats better than Laxman. This guy has taken 113 tests and still scored only 7000 runs. He plays once in every 24 innings and keep his place safe.

Do not make ridiculous comments. Our selectors have not done proper justice to this great cricketer. Scoring 16 centuries is no joke and moreover he has batted with tailenders in most occasions. During 2003 World Cup, Australia was our only threat and had we taken him for the world cup the Cup would have been our's. But unfortunately his replacement Dinesh Mongia was not only a total failure but did not do any justice at all. Poor Laxman. The saying is 'a blind do not know the value of a mirror' similarly a cricket blind cannot be expected to know the the value and inherent talent of greats.
India should not bring these 2 guys in the test match without really performing well in the ranchi trophy. Bring some new bates man and give them a chance if Dravid/Sachin/Laxman will not available in the future.

Yuvi might not be suitable to this format (test), but surely he's still fans choice for odi and t20...
Bhajji is only experienced spinner in the indian squad and still he's a better choice for all formats but in terms of his behavior and arrogance he is not a favourite sportsmen to India fans
