Denigrating cricket
by SUNDEEB NAIR on Apr 22, 2010 10:05 AM  | Hide replies

IPL & Modi's cronies have denigrated the image of cricket. It seems they indulge in secret deal making & pre set the course of events in their favour. They are all taking Indian cricket fans for a ride.
Yes Indians may continue to watch IPL etc, but only as if it is another soapy serial whose script is written in advance.

Sleazy Game and Sleazy Investigation by FM -what a Joke
by Lopesh S on Apr 22, 2010 10:04 AM  | Hide replies

How IPL's financial wrongdoings passed the scrutiny of BCCI auditors for 3 years in a row. Surely there is more to it than what meets the eyes. How can an individual hide a ‘scandal’ of such magnitude?
why was the so called honest government in deep slumber for more than 3 years? Secondly, why is the probe restricted to just the sources and routes of the funding, why not on the ‘involvement of politicians’ in the IPL

IPL has no link with sports. It is the IPL night parties (or after-parties), where players and public (ones ready to splurge money), jig to the DJ’s tune till wee hours

Modi vs Tharoor
by Prasad Damodaran on Apr 22, 2010 10:03 AM  | Hide replies

Both Modi and Tharoor have specific interests in ladies
Tharoor - Sunanda
Modi - with some African Model.
Modi had asked Tharoor not to extend the visa of the African model to which Tharoor did not agree and when it came to Modi's turn he took revenge on Tharoor by disclosing the ownership of Kochi franchise.

Do you think Modi cannot involve in visa process by trying to influence Shashi Tharoor's office? How can Shashi Tharoor influence a closed bidding process and how can he influence Kochi Consortium to give his companion some shares? There is no question of his misusing the external affairs ministry.

because he wanted her to leave India and had asked Tharoor not to extend her VISA, but Modi is not disclosing why he did not want to extend her VISA maybe I think MODI had batted her fully.

This South African model is Gabriella Demetriade. She was slated to win Miss Bollywood in IPL held in SA. But Modi it seems tried to get something from her and she slapped Modi. So they did not give her the crown which she deserved, as per the SA public. She was not even given the runner up. So that is how Modi carried the vendetta inside him.

Why should there be a Confidentiality Clause...
by Vikas Bhatt on Apr 22, 2010 10:02 AM  | Hide replies

...in hiding ownership patterns of cricket team of a so called domestic competition aimed at promotoing the game as BCCI claims? In light of dummy holders, tax havens and money laundering, shouldn't a sport and an event billed as national event be trasnparent? Unless BCCI didn't care where the money came from and were hand in glove in covering up the financial fraud? Now evena s IT raids offices of IPL and BCCI, files of money transactions have suddenly gone missing showing that there is indeed something to hide and there is no doubt IT will uncover a trail of money laundering and cooked books. SC should step in and take charge of an investigation.

why Govt is sleeping for past three years
by Chandra sekhar on Apr 22, 2010 09:59 AM  | Hide replies

You cant blame Modi alone for this, He must filed returns for the past three years then where are these govt agencies. Its because Mode made a minster to resign and exposed him, the egostic govt wanted to bring Modi down. I have no sympathy for Modi either. If Govt is serious whhy all these three year slept over IPL matter. I am recollecting the horror stories of Emergency time, when if any one dares to take on Govt he has to go jail or leave this world. This Congress Chamchaa Manohar is no holy cow.

Beacause he was in the driving seat and given franchises as per his wish or as per BCCI wish. But Tharur wanted for himself without any consideration of Lalit / Pawar & Comapny. Now his seat is in danger he want to disclose everything which shall put BCCI/Pawar on tricky wicket.

Govt action shows its HIGH INCOMPETENCY. Was the all Deptt sleeping over three year's. When some minister got punished in that they want to cleanse the system. I WILL REQUEST TO THAT ALL BCCI OFFICIALS SHOULD BE DISMISSED AND INVESTIGATED FOR ALL ACTS THEY DONE IN LAST 7-10 YEARS?? ALL TRUTH WILL COME OUT

Yes, of course. In fact, if proper investigation is carried out only polictians shall be caught and Modi & Company shall be only the middlemen in all the betting/gambling.
