Govt and the IPL.
by kalisankar basuray on Apr 22, 2010 10:27 AM

It is difficult to believe that the Govt. at the centre headed by an expert Finance man like Manmohon Singh did not know what was going in IPL during its last three terms.A new entrant like Sashi Tharoor in the Congress band-wagon is just cis good mode of diversion of people's attentionaught and the entire issue is getting publicity.Indian Govt under the present set up will never open the pandoras bo which is their own creation. No wonder while India'slatest BPL statistics show an upward trend(10% increase?),story of IPL scandalis a means to divert peopl's attention.Govt inactivities are more scandalous and the outcome is well reflected in the BPL figures obtaining over the years.

Lekin takat walon jaise NCP,Congress,BJP se connected logon ka shayad hi kuchh hoga. Modi ki bhi kewal kursi jayegi,. Bus itna hi hai tauba. Purane cases yaad kijiye. Kya hua?

why Govt is taking it so personal
by Chandra sekhar on Apr 22, 2010 10:23 AM

Why Govt is taking so personal? Where were these Govt agencies for the past three years? If Shashi tharoor would not been exposed the world could have not been know the IPL Picaso? Govt of India instead of searchig Modi, suspend all the Income tax officials, RBI officals, ED officals who were sleeping all these years. There is also financial bunglings in procuring low floor buses in Delhi as CAG report why media and Govt is silent?

CORRUPTION
by ganga shipping on Apr 22, 2010 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

It simply exposes deep rooted corruption in all the FOUR pillers of democracy. action against Lalit Modi is an act of " TO TEACH ALL A LESSON NOT TO GO AGAINST CONGRESS and it's LEADERS ". No doubt, Mr Modi has minted money from IPL and he should be brought to books , but what about others from all pillars of Democracy. Who in India does not BELEIVE that Politicians, Babus, Judiciary ( specially on lower levels ), police etc are HIGHLY CORRUPT and Trillions of DOLLARS equivalent Indian Money is stashed outside, That most of money coming from abroad belongs to them , that BLACK Money economy is larger than white money economy in India -- and still these thieves behave like decendents of Raja Harishchandra.
Gentlemen , it is time to kick out such Hypocrites, Have a good government , Get rid of BLACK ECONOMY and all corrupt people and WE MARCH TO GLORY. But nothing will happen till we take all such people to task and PUT THEM BEHIND BAR FOR LIFE -- snatch their assetts and money and use it for betterment of India and it's people.

Modi must never have thought that his action of vendetta against Shashi Tharoor would expose his own wrongdoings. He tried to influence Ext Affairs ministry to stop the South African model who slapped him from getting visa. And this revengeful fellow told the media about Sunanda's relation with Shashi which Shashi did not want to reveal at that time because his divorce from his wife is still under way.

Was manohar, pawar and BCCI etc were aleeping since 3 years. Now they have an issue to raise against MODI. In tadays time where their is so much transparency in all the aspects of life, this kind of question looks planned conspiracy against modi.

I don't know why people are attacking Manohar in this. AFAIK, the agreements with the franchisees have a confidentiality clause. Lalit Modi has violated that clause by tweeting about Kochi. The root question is why did he single out Kochi? Everything else is a result of his tweet.

He singled out Kochi because he wanted to seek revenge on Shashi Tharoor.

Manohar should shut up!
by Grover Omprakash on Apr 22, 2010 10:13 AM

Being a BCCI official blaming your own commissioner - that's a shame for you as well as all Indians. Stop making a mockery of India before the whole world!

To my knowledge, Lalit Modi's tenure as a commissioner by default was for three years and this perhaps was his last year in IPL as a commissioner.

If you can't tolerate him I think ICL would be waiting to get their share of success.

Too much of IPL Indigestion.
by Rahul Singh on Apr 22, 2010 10:08 AM

This IPL fiasco is too much on our nerves. The murkier deals, murkier stag parties are coming to light. I feel too much importance is being given to IPL, BCCI, Modi, Tharoor, Sunanda.

The guilty must be booked soon and punished accordingly. These figures have gained much popularity through such murkier deals. Lalit Modi in particular looks a snobish brat with lots of airs. Its high time this brat is cut to his size and throw him down in some guttar.
The Indian public also stops patronizing this english games. The other good games like Hockey, Foot Ball etc. are all sidelined. Too much money is rotting in Cricket. All the players of past and present have become billionairs and running their own business.
The best course of action would be to dissolve the IPL, BCCI and ban this game for another 10 years to give more importance to other neglected games.
