VP for What...?
by Binu on Sep 29, 2009 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

I don't know what this Venkadesh Prasad is doing with the team.Ishant was hiting 140 when he starts..No only 129,the loss of form of Irfan is too significant because he can bat.If he cannt correct his form what he is doing in the team?India need a world class bowler as Coach like Allen Donald or Shon Pollock

R u suggesting that prasad was better than mcgrath? Boy that is some opinion! It is a fact that our fast bowlers when come on the scene bowl well over 140, bowl bouncers and yorkers, but after a few series, first their bouncers and yorkers vanish and ultimately their pace drops to 130! Who is responsible for all this?

VP the spinner, is teaching art of becoming spinner from pacer.
he himself ended as spinner.

even that is OK, but apart from Misra spinners too failed miserably. Ishant should go back to ranji team and perform in Domestic circuit.

Agree, but first prasad has to go..even if someone says that he is not responsible for the pacers bowling poorly, yet his presence has not made any improvements, so why have him anyway?

I feel pak board should be paid and prasad sent to coach the paki bowlers. He would in no time change them from a fast bowler to a military medium pace bowler! lol

What is Javagal Srinath is doing as match referee? His place is at bowling coach not as referee. I have lot of respect for him after Kapil dev.

pak would prefer..
by Dhantannan on Sep 29, 2009 11:59 AM

to play NZ or SL in semis
rather than group B topper england.
so they have to maintain no 1. spot in group.
for that they have top the group by winning against Aus.

I think we as spectators also need to be professional, if we win then it's good, but if not then it is also ok :)

Hi Guys.....

Hi Folks,

Just I want to share my opinion... Not to hurt anybody... Opinion differs.... When I watched the match betwn Ind-Pak , I went to the peak of anger and irritation. Mainly because of Dravid's batting. He made 76 ( 106 balls ). But the way he batted thro his innings was neither supportive nor consistant. He was increasing the pressure of his companions and made them out. This is not the way to bat.... No aggression in chase.... Surrendered meekly.....

I wish Englishmen to come to finals. Bcoz it was never easy to come up frm 6-0 whitewash.... Also Srilanka...... Pak ??? Dnt wan 2 comment on them......

How do you increase pressure on companions?

Maybe becoz his companions kept getting out prompted him to play more and more of an anchor role....

Yes Pseudos, I felt that... Was watching from ball one... Gambhir was on form.. I accept he was run out unnecessarily... But wen he s n form, Dravid was never supportive. He increased Gambhir's pressure. Same thing happened with Raina too. I dnt knw y yousuf pathan is in the team.....

Blame it on the selection and IPL
by abdul nazeer on Sep 29, 2009 11:53 AM

Blame it on the selection, as srikanth looking for the players like his class, hitters, if you are a grafter, you are not needed in cricket anymore, you can be happy playing domestic cricket. In international scene we dont need players like rayadu, pujara, tiwary, kaif, badani, badri, is what srikanth's strategy. kaif was dropped from ipl2, and rajasthan royals missed him badly, there was no one to stay in the wicket. Players like jayawardana, hussey, Kallis, strauss, yousuf, malik, younus, they are all accumulators, not hitters. But indian selection needs 10 yuvraj singhs, 10 sehwag, forcing the youngsters to chance their way of batting, in the process losing everything. Not all can become yuvraj or very less will hv the capability of dravid. Selectors needs mixed players. Hardworking players are thrown out of even the probables, i meant kaif, good players like tiwary is not even being considered. Why this selection bias. Not many players hv the talent to become a sachin of sunil, but given time has the temperement to serve indian cricket. Wake up India. Dont blame dhoni, blame it on the selection. Vengserker was much better than srikanth, he clearly shows signs of bias.
