we were lucky that the match got abandoned, else we would be out of CT. the way aussie played was beyond indian capabilities. So if at all we play our best against WI,we can hope a bit(holds true only when PAk beats AUS. I thnk dhoni lost his luck( the only thing he got since birth)ha ha !!!

Dont have high hopes. For India to be in the reckoning, Pakistan should beat Australia and we have to beat Windies by a convincing margin and neighter of this is a possibility.

This is the first time I see Indian guys supporting Pakistan against any team. This would be a charity win for India

It is better than the hatered u guys have for india. The moment india beats pakistan, it is supposed to be luck and the way your cricketers behave, it seems that their only desire is to beat india and nothing else! lol

Very true. As usual master blaster would have been out early and only gambhir and raina would have tried their best with dravid trying his best to slow down the run rate!
If you have some respect for your country then return back to our country. We all Indians not take any beg from Pakistan cricket or politics. So Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhony leave from champions trophy becouse you will be get out from champions trophy when pakistan defeated all team india by 54 runs.

I agree with you but team is pakistan who did not like the progress of india or bharat mata.
Re: For the first time..India backing Pakistan
by Dhantannan on Sep 29, 2009 11:39 AM
india backed pak in 1992 finals too. becoz we wanted asian to win title. it is another matter when face to face, we want our team to win.
Come on........even 5-7 years ago ppl used to watch ODIs with gusto. Now it hardly matters. Nobody now cares. Cricket mania is slowly leaving the country for the good of it.

No buddy, don't have high hopes. The advent of t20 has shifted the people'a attention from ODIs. Cricket is still popular.

You are slightly right. But, still those who sometimes wanna see how our team performing, then this kind of bowling hurts. Specially, Ishant Sharma. I am not saying that he should not be in the team, but look his attitude. He does not care if it a do or die match or not.
Bowlers are saying that they are not get used to with the kind of pitch they played and that is why they are poring runs with extremely bad line and length. This is bull.... They did not touch the ball for last three months and having just fun with their families. This unprofessional and shameful performance not only hurt us as India team fan but also it a kind of disrespect for India. if you are not 100% competent then for the shake of country please leave your spot for those who can give their 100%. Ishant Sharma is one of those shameless person, I believe.
Re: Re: Complete unprofessional performance
by Abhijit Das on Sep 29, 2009 11:40 AM
unprofessional in the sense, when they said that they are not used to with the pitch. They played the IPL over the same pitch. Pakistan bowlers didn't even have that experience.
india is on ventilator support in CT, the oxygen can be provided by pak through win, of course india should also help themselves by self breathing ( winning convincingly against WI).
It is only bad luck of Team India in two respective ICC Tournament one is T20 World Cup and second is ICC Champion Trophy India playing without their two key player Virendra Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh So only injuries responsible for Indian setback otherwise...ok...doesnt matter men in blue we will do better next time India is potentially no 1 team
Re: Bad luck....Team India
by Mansoor on Sep 29, 2009 11:35 AM
Second largest populous country and no replacement available to Sehwag, Yuvi and Zaheer???? no excuse accepted!!
Re: Bad luck....Team India
by Dhantannan on Sep 29, 2009 11:35 AM
our bad luck is lack of quality and dependable bowlers. even if both viru and yuvi play, we cannot chase 340 and 350s , as well as defend.
Innumerable times i have written in this column before that bring back Sreeshanth immediately. India lacks his bowling aggression & fire power on the field. Ishant & R.P.Singh are a pure waste. If India have to do well outside India then Sreeshanth is a certainty. Without him India bowling line up is equal to Zim. & Bangladesh. Even if the batsman pile up 300 plus opposition will easily outsocre that massive score. Selectors pls. watch this column and try to emulate the advice given by knowledgeable readers like us.

Sreeshant will NOT be taken because in the domestic tournament after taking the Dhoni wicket he celebrated. Afterwards Dhoni expressed his displeasure on the incident. Dhoni probably don't want Sree in the team and would persist with useless RP and pishant sharma.
