Sachin is Best

F**K Artherton, Tendulkar is the best batsman. If in Modern era of cricket Tendulkar used a helmet and Bradman didnt used its just a matter of modern technology.
Artherton is mixing bravery and art of cricket and being a great sportsmen.
Sachin Tendulkar has proved himself in most difficult conditions, variety of pitches around globally, his technique is perfect.
Secondly, Bradman had a avg 0f 99 but in 66 matches played only and around 6000 run scored..
Sachin has played much more cricket...even oneday and 20-20...Bradman just played Test no one day..
AND FINALLY SACHIN IS REALLY A GREAT PERSON AND A GREAT SPORTSMAN

Atherton is a Nobody! Tendulkar is Somebody. That is the problem!
by Talisman on Nov 20, 2009 05:32 AM  | Hide replies

To talk about greatness, you must know and love multiple sports. then you can talk about who is the Greatest.

Tendulkar is a genius. He doesnt care waht Atherton thinks. Atherton does not have the ability to play the shots that Tendulkar plays or no one will bother to watch atherton whereas people will spend money to watch Tenddulkar bat.

I can see the English Jealousy. That is very clear. I cannot wait to meet the English Team.

What next Ather? James Anderson is the greatest bowler next only to Marshall?

There are some people here that dont question this and are ready to kiss an English ASK as soon as the opportunity arrives. These people call themsleves as true indians. Wake up Now! India is a free country. Dont be afraid to use your brain a little!

Although a big fan of Sachin but what Mike says does carry weight.

It takes a different sort of courage to stand up to some of the most fearsome bowlers when lack of protective gears can cause serious physical and mental damage.

SOME QUESTIONS?
by ajay khanna on Nov 20, 2009 05:28 AM  | Hide replies

Before my name is spoiled with the choicest abuses, let me tell you all that I am an INDIAN FIRST, and also a big fan of cricket, especially Indian cricket. However, I have some questions in mind, for which I need the answers:
1. If Sachin is so great, how come the highest score in One Day or Test or 20-20 is not recorded aginst his name?
2. If Sachin is so great, how come he has not been able to win a single World Cup for India. To put it in a better way, why does he always chokes up in the MATCHES THAT MATTER?
3. If Sachin is so great, how come he is not the Indian Captain in spite of his 20 years experience?
4. In spite of his performance as a cricketer, how is it possible that no match fixer ever approached Sachin in the hey days of match fixing? It's hard to digest when players from the range of Hansie Cronje to Nayan Mongia were approached by match fixers, and this man was left behind.

I hope to get genuine answers !!!

Our educational system is rife with Munnabhai Type of people, who have enough marks but no knowledge and still we calll them greats.
Our cricket is no different. We have a player, who has ample number of runs against his name. But still could not get a single world cup in his tenure. Strange.
Still Bombay wallahs are mad after this guy. For them he is the God of cricket. My dear friends, action speak louder than words. sachin has been better known recently as Master Plaster, for he is injured in every second match and series. Still, how many people will use their own brains. only God knows.

Do you follow any other sports? Do you know how greatness is defined? The fact that these jealous morons are out there telling the world Sachin is not the Greatest in itself proves it.

Can you show me one person that has played 20 years of cricket at the highest level?

Can you show me a batsman that has not been pout of form for more than 6 months at a time thru. 20 years?

Can you ? I doubt it.

Cricket is a team game. It is not won by a single person! Ask BCCI why we dont have a worldcup.

They are the ones that need to put up 10 other decent players to play with Sachin. If they could come up with a decent team around him, he would have had many many cups.

what is this?
"Matches that matter" what does this mean? In international level every match matters for a team!
Wining a match is not a responcibility of a single player.
So if he couldn't won a WC it's not entirly his fault.
In 1996 he made India in to semi final and made valuable 65 runs in that match chasing 240 something score.
In 2003 it was Sachin who made runs in almost every inning, before final out of 10 innings he made seven 50 scores and in one 36 agianst Australia *top scorer for India in that match*
greatness is not counted by looking at highest scores in every format of the game. They changes time to time. It is measured how he one has played throughtout his caree and in what conditions. Sachin has carried a huge burden of enormus expectation of from Indian. He gave a new heights to Indian cricket.
He has something in it that have inspired our youth.
Success is something that if you get it early in your life can change your mind, but Sachin after has bene playing for 20 years is still modest and down to earth.
Free Free said this right and you can too see this that people generally turn the TV off aftyer getting him out!

Dear Mr.Khanna,
I can see that you have a series of questions against Sachin tendulkars potential.
I attempt to try answer your questions but i am more than happy to be proved wrong with my answers.
the possible answers to your questions
1)f Sachin is so great, how come the highest score in One Day or Test or 20-20 is not recorded aginst his name?
Does he have to break every single record in cricket to prove he is great. He might not be the greatest batsman in cricket but certainly is one among the greatest.
2. If Sachin is so great, how come he has not been able to win a single World Cup for India. To put it in a better way, why does he always chokes up in the MATCHES THAT MATTER?
Answer: You should be aware that cricket is considered or better understood as a team game and each player has his own responsibilty in each. Are you expecting him to score / bat for 50 overs and bowl all the 50 overs in a match.
3) If Sachin is so great, how come he is not the Indian Captain in spite of his 20 years experience?
answer: Captaincy is entirely a different issue. A good player does not always mean he will be a good captain. He might not be a good leader but he is a good team player or that is what i believe of tendulkar.
4. If i were to be a match fixer i would look for a weakest link in a team. If somebody believed in their portential and was so motivated to play for the team and country would darely not think of match fixing with sachin.

So, Mr. Super Hero, Yopu are finally agreeing that Sachin was also a match Fixer. Yes, he was greedy for money. He came from a poor family and he needed money badly. He fixed matches in a way that nobody could suspect.he never came in direct contact with the bookies. But His brother, Ajit would tell him about the bookies plan. Both the brothers cornered a lot of money in the 90's when one day cricket was religion. Especially the matches in Sharjah, where one could make a lot of money by losing aginst Pakistan. See those matches and u'll find out if the matches were fixed or not. Sachin never played for India, he played for money, whether it was from bookies or from any other source. it hardly mattered to him.

Mr. Super Hero, Anil Kumble never had a brother like Ajit Tendulkar to fix matches. Just look at Kumble's performance. More than performance, it is his commitment for the Indian cricket. He was denied all the praise, Just because he was not from Bombay.

Mr. rudr,
Thanks for your opinion. But then again, some more points are there.
1. Sachin had 20 years to score the highest individual score. Still he was not able to do so in any format of the game.
2. My question is that why he chokes in the matches that matter. Especially when India has to bat in the 2nd inning. This is true in the context of World Cup.
3. all contemporary greats like Ganguly, Azhar,Kapil, Gavaskar Dravid donned captaincy and proved their mettle with knowledge of the game. What was wrong with Sachin, that he could not retain his captaincy?
4. Stories are rife that Ajit Tendulkar used to fix matches on Sachin's behalf. What about those?
Need ur honest opinion. Thanks

There is nothing can make you to understand Mr Khanna, because one can understand only when he wants to understand.
He did leave captaincy by himself as he was not doing a good job (or was not supported enough by his team mates, check the records at time who was performing in his captaincy tenure)
So you can see in that he thinks of the team first!
And what you about having a brother that means if one has a brother he can fix matches for the player who plays in the team?
You are damn smart dude! What are you doing on earth? You should have gone to another planet as the earth is not worth to your smartness!
One can only laugh on your question Mr Khanna. There are many players who have brother; then all of them are fixer?

mr. naveen, let me tell you that the truth regarding Ajit's involvement in match fixing has been kept a secret for quite long. Since, most of the BCCI officials have a Bombay connection, so nobody wanted to spoil a Bombay Boy name in the match fixing scandal. Otherwise, if yo remember, when Azhar was caught, he did gave a hint about the Bombay Connection, where he told that the same bookies who approached him were also seen in the parties of Sachin Tendulkar, and why he was only held guilty. Please check the facts. Sachin was involved in match fixing. If his name were shown, perhaps the whole Bombay would have burnt. Most of these Bombay people are hardcore regionalists. They cannot tolerate the truth.

Mr. Naveen, a quitter never wins and a winner never quits.

The excuse that other team mates were not suporting Sachin is a lame excuse. Sachin was lucky to get players like Ganguly, Robin, Kumble, Jadeja, Dravid and Srinath playing under him. But these greats were denied their rightful place and honour due to Sachin. Sachion was so ineffective, that he could not win matches with these greats. These same people were later on used efefctively by Saurav, who later on became the Best Indian captain.
and, why are u furios because of Ajit Tendulkar. Agreed that many other players do also have brothers. But they are not as cunning and shrewd as Ajit Tendulkar. The Tendulkar's just encashed on the sentiments of a cricket crazy nation where bookies were ready to dole out the money to that person who could earn money for them

Cricket of different eras cannot be compared since just as the head gears were not there; so was the bowling different then as cricket was also gentlemen's game. Does Artherton know how many times; Temdulkar has been given out wrongly due to incessant false appeals from Opposition ??? Such cricket was NOT prevalent during the era what Artherton is talking about. so the people like Artherton cannot digest realities. But who cares??? Then we look at age and we think it must be the medical technology that is keeping him health. you are a shame to this nation. Kapil Dev's World Cup winning team had performing players. When Sachin came around he had bunch of 10 non-performing loosers in the team. It was an 1 man army depending only on Tendulkar to perform. He has won many matches single-handely. As for World Cup, he is the highest scoring batsmen. Go and check his world cup stats you phucking looser. In World Cup he was the only Indian batsmen performing consistently and the rest of the players were doing nothing.
