Where are the rahul criticisers now?
by bob c on Nov 17, 2009 12:15 AM  | Hide replies

Friends, look here again this man has made his bat talk instead commenting rubbishly on dropping him from ODI.

He scored 177 at brisk rate still there is no hype in the media in people nothing. if this would have Sachin even if he would have scored 50 media would have begged for the news hype. honestly this can happen only in India.

We idiots underestimate the effort of such nice guy. This is our India.

Dravid deserves more!!!

He can be a perfect one-down in a one-day internation. If I were the chief selector, I would have kept him in the one-day team at one-down even if he makes 100 ducks....yes until he retires he would be in my team...Beleive me

Great Innings by Dravid
by Parth Mehta on Nov 16, 2009 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

When I read some comments here, it really disappoints me how people curse Dravid or any other player. It is so easy for us to sit in comforts of our home & comment on players praising or cursing them. Dravid has been an example of that always. He is the most consistent player India has seen in last couple of years in tests and ODIs. Dravid is always given a raw deal by people, media & selectors. He is a natural gifted player. Yes, his style doesn't suit T20 & sometimes ODIs too when you require to score at a very high run rate but he has done decently in ODIs regardless of what you call him. Talk of test cricket & he is a legend. When it matters the most, when a team has to put up a fight in a difficult situation, Dravid has saved India many times. Not underestimating other players' contribution, I think Dravid's contribution in the Indian team has been largely underestimated. I wish people & selectors change their approach in handling Dravid & give him more respect. Hopefully, they won't do something like what they did with Saurav Ganguly. Good luck Dravid "The Wall". I hope people stop praising flukes like Yusuf Pathan who are only good for T20 format and give more respect to people like Dravid, Sachin and Laxman.

ADMIRING BUT DOES BCCI LOBBY HAS HEART ??
by mohan on Nov 16, 2009 09:42 PM

The great wall is going with such an form when he can play 20-20 so well, tests 177 @ that strike rate he surely deserves to be in ODI without any recommendation. Should be an automatic choice. He being middle order batsman in ODI amassed 10,765 at an average of 39.43. WHY BCCI/MUMBAI LOOBY MAKE HIM TO SIT OUTSIDE IN ODI. Should he not get equal respect like Sachin. AS MANY SAY, MANY MAGAZINES SAID BECUASE HE NO NONSENSE MAN, TRUELY PATRIOTIC A SELFLESS MAN DELCARED INNINGS WHEN SACHIN WAS DRAGGING AT 190 REACHING DOUBLE CENTURY WHICH HE RUBBED POWERFUL CRICKETER AND HE HIS NOW FACING IT. IS IT SO?????

correct yourself Gurpreet. Not once in a while but he has done it 27 times he has played in 135 tests. Add to this 53 times' 50 score. It becomes 80 which is an awe-inspiring record. First know the value of his knock and then ping...
