..but not Dravid and his match saving 177* and 11000. How many times has he saved India and won matches.
Unlike master blaster who went back on the Pavilion Express and is the personal records champ, but never when India needs. SRT never scores when needed. He's abt indiv personal records like another useless fellow - Gavaskar.
Facts - SRT:12000 in 20yrs/159 tests. Dravid:11000 in 12yrs/134 tests
..also SRT - zero match winning knocks, but personal milestones champ.
Dravid: innumerable match winning and match saving efforts. Always good under pressure. Bow to Dravid - the deliverer.

Yup "zero" match wining inning... ok then what will you say his 160 in the first test against New Zealand in New Zealan and the only test win in that tour? 100* in 4th inning against England chasing 380 something target? They have been recently played! I didn't wanna go in past because it seems you have a shortun memory problem. Second, don't just look at years he has been playing but matches played so far. he has played 160 matches and dravid 135 matches! So Sachin played 25 more matches than Dravid and made 1800 runs in those tests! No doubt Dravid too is a great batsmen. So it's no good to compare these two indian greats. Dravid respects Sachin and the same way Sachin respects Dravid. that's all!

OT:
Pity that you have such distorted definitions of "personal records" and "selfish players".
Under those definitions we must sadly declare Rahul Dravid as a selfish player who only plays for personal records. :)
So after he completed his personal milestone of 11,000 runs, he promptly got out on the 2nd day morning without adding to his overnight score and thus according to OT, became a player who "went back on the Pavilion Express and is the personal records champ, but never when India needs". :)
Though we believe Dravid to be a fine player, but with a heavy heart we must concede that in OT's books he is indeed a selfish player. :)

Well said. We shouldn't forget Dravid's contribution (especially in tests) in the team as well!
He once again proved why he is called "THE WALL". Atleast by seeing this selectors should get ashamed of dropping him from one-dayers. Salutes to "THE GREAT WALL DRAVID"
Its enough of sachin. Dravid is a real class player. He has also served as a great captain much much better then sachin and also he has proved to be good wicket keeper.
Where are the media fellows? Now showcase rahul dravid.not rahul gandhi.
If china has got a great wall then we too have a great wall of india.rahul dravid is the great wall of india.
