Srikanth, you have been a Tendu chamcha from day one,we ve seen articles after articles in ur website on how u were privileged to be the first captain of sachin, how u could see his greatness blah blah..but now u have stooped so low to salute a man for a innings that didnt win the game for India, that was played against a very very weak bowling attack and it happens only in India that a selector openly shows his bias towards one player..ive never seen a selector salute Dhoni for winning T20 wcup,or Kapil for 1983 wcup win or Kumble for 10 wicket haul in Delhi,or Yuvi for 6 sixes in a row and the list goes on...
This is such a disgrace that the selector openly tells us his admiration of one single player, why would any player would wanna win matches for india, all they gotta do is score heavy and not care for Indian win... First it was Gavaskar who said its a Sachin Vs AUS series, which is a grave insult to all other great players in the team like Sehwag,Yuvi,Dhoni etc..and now this from chairman of selectors...

Raman, Can you please explain how Sachin is made responsible for India's loss ??? He scored 175 at a rate better than anyone else in the team. Yes, he should hv stayed back till the end. But what did the other 10 do ??? Zippo !!!

Ok in this match (small ground Sachin scored 175 runs. It was pure batting pitch...cant you see guys ! both teams together hit 697 runs in 1 day. Also 55 fours and 22 sixers in a ODI...can somebody explain that ? How often do you see this kind of runs is any ODI played in the world ? I am from Hyderabad and I can tell you this ground is small and even if you hit in the air with less power, it is most likely to go for six. Can't you see not just Sachin, everybody scord in this match. Marsh hit 112, Watson 93, Ponting 45, Raina 59, Sehwag also 38... All these were scored in very quick time too. Even a bowler like Praveen Kumar hit 1 sixer in that to take India close to a win. Batting was so easy on this... On a easy batting surface, its not very unusual for a man with an experience of nearly 450 One dayers to score 175 right ?
What about other matches where he failed miserably.
In first 4 ODIs in this series he scored totally only 90 runs. Because stadiums were big (Mohali, Delhi etc...and it was not so easy or 100% batting pitch like Hyderabad).
He scored 14 (29 balls) 4 (8 balls) ,32 (47 balls) and 40 runs (68 balls) respectively.
His total in 1st 4 ODI matches was 90 runs in total 152 balls faced. Less than run a ball Test match like scoring ! So India lost 2 of the 1st 4 ODIs in this series. Even in the 5th match, when he was playing so easily on a batting pitch all the good shots, no need to play Misbah T20 shot.Result today we are 2-3 behind Aus

I agree with Mr Ganesh comments. Sachin with his caliber was not consistent in the series and was found wanting against pace of Siddle especially. With this knock of 175 runs on the featherbed in hyderabad he made his tally of runs in series respectable. Ponting on the other hand has played consistent and has a major hand in all the wins.

In the whole Indian innings it seemed that all other batsmen were supporting Tendulkar to achieve personal landmarks. The Indian batsmen chose to face most of the dot balls to protect Tendulkar's wicket. And hence the asking rate never came below 7.
In ODI 2 & 3 where Tendulkar was a non performer, other players took the responsibility and won the match. Tendulkar was only a passenger non-performer in those matches.

With this kind of thinking; forget nation or society, your own family also has no hopes from you..I bet...

Very funny about the average creping to 7 Remember sachin later covered all the balls which he faced, he did not loose the way. If we wnted he would have thrown his wicket after reaching 7 or even after century but he hung around despite being tired. Very childish comments, go and pick up a bat and try. its very easy to comment on websites.

I agree with Mandar, Sachin scored 175 off 140 balls, the other 10 cant score 175 off 160 balls.........
Re: Re: Re: Shame on you Srikanth

Tendulkar played an individual innings and other batsmen just supported him in scoring his own runs. As a result, the asking rate never came below 7/hour. Even when Tendulkar departed, 19 runs of 14 balls with tail enders fresh on the crease was a difficult tasks.
In his innings, Tendulkar concentrated more on his strike rate rather than run rate of the team. Thats why the asking rate always remained beyween 7.5-8/over. Tendulkar lasted till 48th over, but never tried to bring down the asking rate. His presence throughout th match made othr batsmen suffering from negative complex.
In end Tendulkar got some pesronal landmarks for himself and for his sponsors, but the team lost.

In most of team always one player performe and make team win.. other just support him . In this match sachin has this role. That y one player be man of the match. In earlier match dhoni did and india won. Sachin played for him self. If he would be responsible he could play safe and make india win

In earlier match Dhoni played and Win...and this match Dhoni dropped a simple cathc of Marsh which proved to be expensive ..and we lost it...

Remeber Dhoni never chased, it was first innings. Dhoni has never scored a century batting second, plz keep ur mouth shut. Dont compare Dhoni with Sachin, i like Dhoni for his abtting which he used to before, not now. I dont like his captaincy bcoz he is lucky, no merits

If you look at Aussie innings, the performance was shared by most of their players in batting and bowling both. But for India, it was all Tendulkar eclpsing everyone making others underdogs.
I DON'T KNOW Y DHONI WAITED FOR THE THIRD POWER PLAY TILL THE 44TH OVER.IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN WHEN RAINA AND SACHIN WERE IN THE CREASE.THAT IS THE MAIN FACTOR Y INDIA LOST THE GAME
Re: Y INDIA LOST
by Kumaran Babu on Nov 08, 2009 12:00 AM
Dhoni now a days makes poor calculations. Usually batting power play is completed by 45th over by all teams. If powerplay had been taken earlier then Raina and Sachin would have smashed and we could have won the match with many balls to spare. I feel Dhoni's luck as captain has come to an end
Re: Re: Y INDIA LOST
by Shawn Hulk on Nov 08, 2009 05:07 PM
Exactly correct. The biggest mistake was not taking the power play. When Sachin & Raina were playing without power play, they scored heavily fast, they thrashed the bowling, it is that time when the power play should have been taken.
