It was ICL who first started the 20-20 format tournament in INdia. ICL decided to do it in a big way by contracting international players. ICl decided to put these alongside the Indian players, so they can get opportunity. No sooner the moment the first essay happened BCCI woke up and introduced thier IPL, which basically borrrowed all the formats and principles of ICL and labelled ICL as 'rebel' tournamenet! INstead of having another parallel tournament, they wanted to corner all attention and ads to IPL and make it richer - not the game. So, they ensured no publicity to the matches even in TV news.. just a very little of it. [adddded to it, ICL is promoted by Zee - who is competitor to Star]

You have pointed out facts very rightly, IPL is a copy of ICL. I think IPL should merge with ICL and not the other way round.
its such a shame to see such a powerful body like BCCI acting in a totally unprofessional and unethical businesslike way.. BCCI is literally beginning to believe that it owns the game ... the insecurity of BCCI inspite of being so powerful is pathetic especially when the kind of ridiculous logic it uses to ban ICL.. Technically there is just no logic to ban ICL or players in ICL... its just a self styled greedy insecure BCCI coming up with wierd rules..and using dadagiri..instead of fair play.. Though govt intervention is not welcome.. cause we all know what happens when govt runs a sport in India... aka.. hockey, football..etc.. The economic alignment of cricket n BCCI just makes it unchalleged by anyother cricket sports body..n is highly lopsided and unfortunate...
SRK and PZ must be behind bars for disturbing National biggest event that is Elections which is currently of prime importance to plan future for this nation than bullying with Cricket a stupid non sense game which makes bookies rich and disturbs minds of Several country men.
Ban ICL globally as this promotes more hatredness and terrorism globally. Now ICL placed in South Africa will be attracting terrorists so their epicentre will be South Africa and people of that country as well as cricket lovers from globe will be there to cheer with cheer leaders hand picked by SRK and PZ hope S.Africa govt will be attending carefully by not allowing this to happen on their soil and punish this money mongers to go back to INDIA and particpate in elections.
Even with a power like BCCI they are acting like demons. What i our country becomes a super power. WE will be the worst bullys of this world. that is Indians.
