8 wickets of india have to play 12 overs each so 78 ball /wkt
by pravin sarode on Mar 29, 2009 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

1 day left means 90 plus 20 =110 overs maximum & mirracles like kolkata never happen again
8 wickets of india have to play 12 overs each so as to draw forget win now save the match
12 overs means 78 balls per pair so it is really tough for ayaram gayaram like munaf, ishant to play even 30 balls so it is really tough job for coach garry kitsten god bless garry because indian whymsical players like sehwag do not under stand the role of captain & hence all ex captains like sachin have to sail the boat very very fast & all their forgotten skills of anchorage for all 3 sessions of the day which is what is expected from professions !
god bless indian cach garry kirsten for having such irresponsible captain and this is not the
first time sehwag failed world cup 2003 final 83 runout, irani trophy final quarrel with
zaheer khan when zaheer khan bowled out takalu easily in irani trophy 2008 played @ baroda
so i suspect sehwag has mental illness & needs medical check up for his own interest
while on a subject if i were in neper i would have registerred FIR in local police for
match fixing against dropped catches & irresponsible shots to throw wickets against my own team
joke : kapil dev caught by ravi shastri: kapil dev moved wearing burkha after 3-0 defeat in
england in 1989 so he was stopped by one 5 1 at mulund check post saying kyon be har gaya is
liye burkha pahna kya. kapil paji was shocked he asked the null who the hell r u. the null say
i am ravi shastri in hiding

I think in the last day of a test there are 20 more mandatory overs..not very sure if they changed the rule in recent time.

first of all you should know that they dont play 110 overs in a day. it is compulsory to bowl 15 overs in the last hour. The last hour will start only after 75 overs are bowled.

Congratulations
by Mash on Mar 29, 2009 08:37 PM  | Hide replies

To team India for continuing their tradition of making some ordinary player a star. In 1998 tour it was Simon Doull, an ordinary bowler who made the life hell for Indians. In 2003 it was Darryl tuffey, the bowler who claimed max no of wkts & then disappeared from international cricket. And this time it is Jessy Rider who has proved to be one man army for Indian team. Also even though we shout loudly that our team has got so many match winners but the reality is something diffrent. In this perticular Dhoni was not available for leading the side & Indian team tumbled badly under new captain. My point is not to criticize anyone but these points we should notedown & work on it.

I was talking about NZ tour only. There r so many players which we can say but funniest of all I remeber Zimbabwe's Douglas Hondo who has claimed two five wkts haul against India.

after lunch time only the liberty of playing shots to be taken
by pravin sarode on Mar 29, 2009 08:28 PM  | Hide replies

by the lunch time the scores 619, 305, 314 will level i suppose & after lunch 80 over will be left so it will be 40-40 over contest if indians change the stance after lunch or levelling scores 619=305 314 there fore it is half battle won but real cinema remaining so it will decide how indians prevent AVALANCHE in absence of rahul the most reliable man WALL. one of the possibilities just last 20 mandatory overs will be sufficient for kiwies to complete the target because they are t20 bos

You mean only 10 overs before lunch & 80 overs after lunch?!!! You may not be knowing that only 90 overs are allowed in a day's play!

LESSON TO BE LEARNT FROM THIS MATCH.
by sachin on Mar 29, 2009 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

This test match was a wake up call for the Indian team which looked complacent.Initially the body language and attitude of the players was like they took NZ team for granted, and felt we would defeat them easily in 2nd Test.Specially Sehwag in both in. and Gambhir in first.

Hoping this test to be drawn as the team must have learnt their lesson.

tremendous innings
by naveen bharath on Mar 29, 2009 07:52 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar and Gambhir had a great innings today and toiled the kiwis bowling as well i suggest our players to keep more patient on day 5 and bring the innings towards india's favour. Unfortunatley dravid has been given out by umpire. I strongly condemn the umpire decision. Why didn't go for referal instead of of given out. I am looking forward good result from indian side.

while i didn't like the way Rahul was given out, it was a tough decision that went against Rahul. Hopefully the umpire will not make such mistakes against India tomorrow.

Hats Off Dravid/Gambhir/Tendulkar
by Peoplesavenue on Mar 29, 2009 07:32 PM

Hats off to the Indian Trio Dravid/ Gambhir and tendulkar, the maturity they showed on the 4th days was immense. Other batsman need to follow the same footsteps on the 5th day, they need to be cautious in the first session and need to be little aggressive after lunch.

Stupendous efforts by Sachin and Gauti
by CAT IIMA on Mar 29, 2009 06:53 PM  | Hide replies

They deserve all accolades along with Dravid for at least making a great effort to bring India back into the match. Hopefully tomorrow they'll bat for their lives again and give a draw - which seemed improbable even a day ago. Kudos to the responsibilities they have shown. Hats off!

Sonia Gandhi would have never been in this position if she wasnt Rajiv R 's wife. Having said that she is much more trust worth and non greedy of post than any politician around. So i rather have her heading congress than people like pawar and other who is running after the PMs post.
