9/1080 The extremes of India
by Sats S on Mar 28, 2009 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

Just 9 good balls out of 1080 needed from NZ.
Come on no way to save this test match.
This is what I dont like in Indian team the two far extremes.
First test they were about to win by an innings
now they are about to loose by an innings
WHAT A CONTRAST ???

So according to U Indian bowlers bowled only 9 good balls out of 924 balls against New Zealand batsman :-)

So Indian bowling sucks :-)

Accept We are losin this match coz of Indian bowling and fielding rather than battin which is always our strong point :-)

not like that Sachin the Great (yes he is (
the equation is like :
2 days 90 overs/day, so 1080 balls and NZ needs 9 good balls to out of 1080 to take rest 9 indian wickets.
The odds very much in favor of NZ

This is exactly what I meant with Indian bowlers bowling 924 balls, 154 overs in 1 and half days, 1 day 90 overs, next day 64 overs, So total 924 balls and they picked 9 iwckets so total 9 good balls out of 924 balls :-)

in my opinion .. yuvi is not playing the way he use to .. he should be made to sit for a quite some time to make the way for theo thers to play.. the way he drope d catches and batted as if he wanted to be the captain but not making him made his ego heart.......... very bad yuvi .. if it is so...............

India has failed ony coz of bowling and fielding coz this New Zealand team is inexperienced and can anyone imagine that a moronic batsman like Jesse Ryder can score 200 against this moronic Indian bowling.

Jesse Ryder is just an average player.

How many runs did Jesse Ryder score against Australians in recent series, This shows the quality of Indian bowling sucks :-)

Today's achievements only count.
Ryder has a 102 and 201 in two tests against India. His total is < 1000 runs. This is only his 8th test. He also scored an ODI 100. If Sachin scores a 100 now, he will be comparable to him.

If bowling is moronic then scores are bound to happen.
But this is the same bowling attack which lead us to victory in recent past...

When did Indian bowling dominate any test match in recent past, Can U give me 1 example, Now dpont give me examples of Nagpur test match where we beat South Africa on a dust bowl in 3 days, India has always won test matches on the strength of battin and batsman alone :-)

u r wrong.it is the recent bolwing attack of ishant and zaheer has made the side more balanced.s u right our strenght was batting earlier and nt recently.off late it is the bowling attack which has made india more stronger compared to ealrier.the side looks balance with the bolwing attack

The team selection as far as the bowling is concerned for this test was all wrong. Every one knew this was a good batting track and hence an additional spinner in place of a fast bowler wd has been more than useful. Amit Mishra wd have been the ideal choice. Remember, Mishra played a vital part in the wins against the aussies in india wher the wickets were similar. Even newzealand fielded two spinners! Again, the captaincy has been poor. I remember dhoni had packed the off side field and asked his bowlers to bowl outside the offstump when the aussies were going grt guns in one of the test matches in india. The aussies might have felt that it was negative tactics, but i found it brilliant as it unnerved the aussies and frustrated them so much that they got out quickly.

Yes the bowling attack is pretty much balanced, possibly what is missing is a bowler , who the oppossing teams are scared (in their mind) to face eg like a Murali Or Holding in old days. Imean the recent bowlers are good bu we need atleast one whom the opposing would be scared of

Why cant MS DHoni give some useful captaincy tips to Viru Sehwag :-)

Why is he aloof and not with the team when he is sitting out and taking rest :-)

Is he afraid that Viru Sehwag might replace him as captain :-)

Why Yuvraj Singh always under performs under Viru Sehwag as captain but always tries to play his best under MS DHoni :-)

Is MS DHoni selfish :-)

Maybe around 4 test matches but the point is why MS DHoni is not giving him tips if he fels he is making a mistake in either field placements, bowling changes or for that matter selection of Amit Mishra in place of Munaf Patel.

According to me MS DHoni is more responsible than Viru Sehwag coz this is more of MS DHoni's team thab Viru Sehwag's team.

If Viru Sehwag was made as captain then he would have definetly picked Amit Mishra in the team coz he knows he is excellent spinner and also plays for Delhi dare Devils :-)

The question before India is whether India can save the match or not. Whether the top batsmen will play well this time and ensure India does not loose the match. At least that is the least one can expect out of them.We hv already lost one top bats man the Captain himself. It is now left to others what they wl do now.NZ is definitely has an edge over India no doubt. But India if plays well fm now onwards it can save the test and keep up the lead.Let sound mind guide the players now out there. It is still a mystery uptill now. What destiny holds wl b clear by tomorrow evening.

India can not only save the match but may also come back to win it if our star batsmen bat with determination and live up to their reputation. Remember, Kiwis will have to bat the 4th inning and even a lead of 200 can be quite a handful.

Thanks fr yr assurance ! But if what u say has to become true, India wl have to post more than 514 runs in its 2nd Innings.Yet again a lead of 200 may not b enoughagainst a determined NZ side.U may hv to put more than 250 may b around 280 or so...just enough to make a try.It means India have to post close to 600.Is not to much to expect of them?

I still think that India can win this test match like they won in Kolkatta if Gautham Gambhir scores a big 100.

According to me Gautham gambhir is the one batsman who has not proved himself in this New Zealand series apart fom Yuvraj Singh who is mor interested in enjoyment rather than performing.

Sachin Tendulkar should score 150 tomorrow :-)
