IPL outside India?
by Anant Gaitonde on Mar 24, 2009 02:31 PM  | Hide replies

If IPL goes abroad it is clear evidence of the fact that IPL organisers are not interested in Aam janata or people of India watching their dream heroes play live in the stadium. What they are interested in is only advertisement revenue through live telecasts and broadcasting rights for TV and the media. They have shortlisted SA and England as day matches played in these countries is as good as day and night matches in India with time diff or 3 and 1/2 and 4 and 1/2 hours behind India.

Why is Raj Arora and Sachin the great exchanging threats. Australia is a wonderful country and India has to do a lot to catch up with them be it is sports, cleanliness or simple Governance. Perhaps if British were in India today India would have been more disciplined and cleaner. What say Sachin the Great. Sunny Gavaskar is the greatest cricketer India has produced. remember he did not play against Kenya, Zimbabwe and Bermuda for his one day or test centuries. he played against West indies, Australia and England when they were at peak, opened the innings and did not have support of other great batsmen. Also played without helmet and no media coverage as now. Can Sachin give commentary like Sunny? No way. So just keep quiet. Sachin is also great but Gavaskar is the greatest

Do not let IPL to be exported!
by babloowati on Mar 24, 2009 02:08 PM

It is ironic that people of India are seeing IPL going away from their reach. Cricket is the game of common people who love to see it in stadiums and enjoy every moment.. What a bad luck that Indian people are kept at bay from all the excitement and joy of this tournament.

There is no point people of India should allow IPL to be exported. The decision should be taken after considering the sentiments of the people of India rather than benefiting few money worshipers

Rich IPL.
by Pushkaraj Kelkar on Mar 24, 2009 02:02 PM

Why so much discussion, after all rich are becoming richer, players are purchased, and common man will pay for the ticket. Good combination. If they host the game in England organisers will earn in pound sterling and will be further rich. The amount earned will be deposited in Swiss bank. People should stop discussion on this topic.

An Indian league match will held abroad possibly in Enland or in South Africa where captive audiences are available. The intrest of BCCI ,sponsors and owners will be served who will laugh all the way to the Bank.Tommorow on grounds of security international matches will be proposed at neutral venues and these will be held also.
