Moronic Organizers!
by sg on Mar 23, 2009 10:17 PM  | Hide replies

The elections are scheduled and announced well in advance right? So, why didn't the organizers take that into consideration? Were they doping or what?
Or were they overconfident that they would arm-twist the government and have their way, like they did/do with ICC, other cricket boards and ICL?

Wrong. IPL schedule was announced well before elections. There is only a limited flexibility of dates as other international cricket season starts soon. The question is not about IPL. I don't care IPL at all. Why are government can't assure security to entire nation during election month? Are u going to sit at your home just because all security forces will be busy protecting polling booths only. We need security everywhere for everyone and at all times!

Are we safe in India?

Its not all abt Business, Money, IPL, Cricket etc...Its all abt how India is?

How these people can justfy abt ICC Cricket World Cup and Commanwealth Games of aprx 60 countries which is going to held in delhi during 2011?

If these govt. not able to handle these issue on his own and playes in the hands of English News Channels ...then Its bound to happen...no body can help Indian government and India.

The main resaon its sending worng signales to across the world that India is not safe enough and its may also effect tourisom industry to Goa and Rajsthan...

Being an Indian I m fellling tonight tht I am also a somewhere part of unsafe like Afghanistan and Pakistan

More Impotant is its giving wrong message to the entire World.

Govrnment can hanale these issue very tectfully if they not played in the hands of English News Chnnels.

These stpes humilated every Indian aginst every non indians and proves how much we are uncapable ?

Its all abt India's impresssion to across the world tht how much India is safer then Afghanistan and Pakistan

Outsourced cricket. What next?

Like I said before: BAN IPL when you still have time!

India is world's largest democracy, and here election is considered as "Bharat Mata Ki Puja". This gujju Lalit Modi and his ilk has no respect for our nation and have their eye on the cash only.

BAN IPL, or remove the word Indian from its name.

Shame shame BCCI, shame shame.

Where is the question of respecting nation? It is home ministry who has confessed that they can't provide security. Election is merely an excuse! We need security for everyone everywhere and all the time. Are u going to sit at home during election month.

by arunkumar khanna on Mar 23, 2009 09:58 PM

THE SHIFTING OF THE IPL IS A CLEAR MESSAGE TO THE TERROR MONGERS THAT INDIA HAS CHICKENED OUT AND HAS SUCCUMBED TO THE PRESSURE THAT THE FEAR OF TERRORISTS THAT HAS STRUCK AT THE ROOT OF THE INDIAN POLITY.

IT IS CLEAR THAT WE HAVE OPENED OURSELVES TO FURTHER BLACKMAIL FROM THESE TERROSITS WHO WE SHOULD NOW ADMIT HAVE GAINED AN EDGE OVER THE MINDSET OF THE INDIAN POLITY.

IN THE NAME ODF ELECTIONS THE GOVERNMENT HAS GIVEN IN TO THE EVIL MINDS OF THIS WORLD. ALSO THERE IS THE QUESTION OF THE PRESSURE ASSERTED BY THE OVERSEAS PLAYERS. WE ARE NOW IN THE SAME BRACKET WITH PAKISTAN. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT

I don't care IPL. But what about security of ordinary people. During the entire month, state police forces will be busy protecting polling stations only. What about buses, trains, offices, cinema halls and other public places...? It is a hard reality. I never felt so insecure. It seems Mumbai attacks have shaken the courage of our security force and the government.

Dear.. its not about number of security guards in the police forces! We need better strategies. In other countries, you won't see police guards roaming around all the time on streets. This because have much better command and control system. After 61 years and 7 years since 9/11, country is still searching right strategies to protect everyone. I am sure our forces can provide safety to us. It is only because this government is too defensive and doesn't want to be blamed! The reality is they have made us very insecure because they have no policy in place to counter terrorism.

And we talk of bringing OLYMPICS to India...just imagine what the world must be thinking. It was better to have shelved off the party rather arranging it in a bitter taste. Its a shame.

Its Shame, Becaz of election if govt want us to be at home ( not come out of home) will you accept.. Govt is meant to give security for all... no matter what the circumstance is..

Moving IPL is just politics, Govt or all political parties doesn't want ppl watch the matches at election time, if so they may loose some votes.... See BJP also doesn't comment anything on this...

Dear Home minister, the recent Mumbai attack is more shamefull, Not taking action against terrorists also shamefull, Congress having no leader if the name 'GANDHI' is not attached is also shamefull, wagging tails to a person of foreign origin - bypassing all those who gave their life for the country is still shamefull. Like this there are so many shamefull acts - please don't try to teach others what is shame. Set your house right first, before commenting on others.

I know that Mr Chidambaram comes from a government that has not done anything for the Majority of Indians....The Hindus. This is a government that is only concerned with the welfare of the minorities.....coz Hindu votes are divided on the lines of marathis , gujratis , bengalis and punjabis...they all divide hindu votes and no Pro Hindu Nationalist Party like the BJP comes to power. If Gujrat riots were a national shame what about anti sikh riots ? They were a national grace Mr Chidambaram?Penchant for exaggerating is with Sonia and Manish Tiwari...not Shri Jaitley
