If these govt. not able to handle these issue on his own and playes in the hands of English News Channels ...then Its bound to happen...no body can help Indian government and India.

BCCI is a body divided with Pawer on the side of the Govt for obvious reasons and others on the Board shifting IPL because of Centre's failure to provide seccurity requested by BCCI. This is a miniature a microcosm of India which is always divided by the politicians since Gandhigiri had started. Arun Jaitely has rightly said that Chidadmbaram had failed us on the stock market as FM and now he has failed us as a Home minister. This is Faifax revisited.
Indian police and para military forces are overstretched; with terrorism looming large in every nook and corner!
Any way, IPL is not a national sporting tournament where Indias representation is being participated. It is a tournament among private groups.
It is not the Govts responsibility to provide its police and paramilitary services at the behest of some players and its organisers who are interested in making millions!
Anyway where the money is coming from? The money comes from Indian public directly through viewership and indirectly through advertisers. In essence Indian public is paying for IPL orgnaisers and some part will go out of the country to ICC and to foreign players.
I think we should discourage IPL by not buying the products of sponsors. What quality of cricket it is? It is purely showbiz. Sachin Tendulkar is not fit for official 20-20 but plays for Mumbai Donkeys! Shane Warne retired ages ago but still plays for Rajasthan Rascals! And there you have a Shahrukh Khan who is interested in making money making all kinds of gestures and a Mallya showing off his bevy of beauties. Why should tax payers money be wasted on providing security to these guys.
Anyway, ICC is so fond of promoting cricket in non cricketing countries; why cant they and the BCCI organise this tournament in Kenya or somewhere else?
Anyway, Chiddu wants to torment NCP Chief Sharad Pawar by denying security to IPL; there is a political angle too!

India is world's largest democracy, and here election is considered as "Bharat Mata Ki Puja". This gujju Lalit Modi and his ilk has no respect for our nation and have their eye on the cash only.

When elections start we will stop going to work and sit down and pray our constitution. That shall be puja. Maybe may due respects to chidu for saving our souls from being corrupted by IPL. thanks @rnab for your guts and support.

My Dear Friends, Chidambaram is just a non specialist batsmen against terror bowlings.He will try to defend his wicket rather than going for shots against terror deliveries.
its a shame for our politicians turned Cricket board presidents . they have Considered national duty ahead of cricket.Mr sharad pawar is already dreaming of being the next PM.these people want to schedule ipl in between elections. They should think and feel more in the interest of the nation than in their own interest{money in cricket}. They could have shifted their schedule rather than shifting the venue

Wrong. Shifting the schedule was not possible this year as international cricket season starts soon. Forget about IPL. Why can't government provide security to everyone during election period? Election is mereley an excuse! Isn't the government too defensive and sending wrong picture about India? If they can't provide security to about hundred odd cricket players, what about other people? Are u going to sit at home during election period because police forces won't be protecting trains/buses/airports/cinema halls/schools ...? We need security for everyone everywhere and at all time. And this is achievable with right strategies.
