It's ridiculous to shift IPL out of india. It's practical to give priority to elections over IPL.But the question is whether election is for 50 days at one city/district,certainly not???It happens just for 1 day at one place and that's it!!!!!So where does the question comes for reservation of security forces during elections???

The whole thing sounds just too political. It seems some of the top leaders don't want IPL in india.Clearly!!And for that they have jeoapardized india's status on security issues, which can be taken advantage by foriegn countries. It's ridiculous to allow the finger to be pointed by foreign countries on india's security,as rightly stated by Narendra Modi.

The whole issue seems if the IPL authorities agrees to give 2-2% of the profit of IPL to greedy indian ministers, nobody can stop IPL to be hosted in india. It's a shame on these poor UPA ministers.I hope our fellow countrymen will take not of these and wipe out these notorious UPA ministers by voting!!!!!!!!!!!

You conduct elections and move the troops in the morning of the polling day and send them back on the same day evening. In india the treacherous things hapen in elections before the days of the election and immediately after the results. Only Modi i stating the foreign country is poiting fingers a us. You seem to believe a politician when he speaks. Thus far no country has said shifting IPL proves India is weak. We are the worlds largest man army my friend. And we must be proud.IPL is watched by only urban cities in India; Nobody would have minded if it was rescheduled; would you mind?

Modi is a crocodile of first order. He has forgotten the tight slap on both his cheeks by Mrs. Karkare during 26/11 episode.

staging IPL outside india
by Rajesh sinha on Mar 23, 2009 11:19 AM

Recession is very strong worldwide. Staging IPL in india would have boosted extra money to the Indian economy. It certainly will benefit Foreign country now. Let us be Patriotic to boost our economy then some one else's.It is pure financial loss. BCCI should postpone it.

A simple Question If Indian Govt cannot gurantee the Security of may be 100 cricketers etc When can we expect this govt to make all us 100 Crore Indians Secure or atleast make us feel secure...Though understading the elections will be going on, dont we have enough forces/security for both have we become pakistan..Also This clearly shows we do not have any sort of working Intelligence agency..there seems to be no plans nothing as in part of Intelligence to find the terrorist activities...

IPL Should Be Banned By The Govt. Of India
by Rajendra Deshpande on Mar 23, 2009 11:16 AM  | Hide replies

IPL officials cannot hold the country and the government to ransom. Security of the people is the most critical issue. The Home Minister is absolutely on target. British ans South African governments should support the Indian Government and not allow the IPL tournament to be held in either of their countries.

Yes BCCI is acting super power.

BCCI should be banned in india, let them go to SA or UK....

India should have their own Cricket authority.

Enough is enough

BJP and its ally Lalit Modi think they made the Govt. look weak - sorry your comments are out of India; I must tell Modi he has made it clear that IPL is for the rich and not for sport and Indians but for commercial reasons only. SRK, Preity are our very own they must not have supported this idea of shifting abroad; we will ensure they earn their money back sooner or later we love them and cricket

Hello you look spineless and thus thoughtless it is the concern of the people that has made Govt on asking IPL to be shifted or posotponed cant it be done; Is the farmer in India going to watch it. we love cricket but not ahead of our nation. Are you feeling insecure that IPL has shifted. No Indian is insecure because IPL has shifted. Had Govt. moved their troops to protect few rich and sportspersons and not protected the polling booths you know what happens in India. Think twice before you think.

Once you've created a weak reference to an object, you usually set the strong reference to the object to null. If any strong reference remains, the garbage collector will be unable to collect the object.
To use the object again, you must turn the weak reference into a strong reference. You accomplish this simply by calling the WeakReference object's Target property and assigning the result to one of your application's roots. If the Target property returns null, then the object was collected. If the property does not return null, then the root is a strong reference to the object and the code may manipulate the object. As long as the strong reference exists, the object cannot be collected.
