I DONT UNDERSTAND POLICY OF REDIFF,
THERE IS NO MENTION OF INDIAN WOMEN'S THUMPING 10 WICKET WIN OVER ITS ARCH RIVALS PAKISTAN WOMEN IN THE ICC WOMEN'S WORLD CUP, THEY BOWLED OUT PAKISTAN'S WOMEN FOR 57 AND THEY MADE IT IN ABOUT 6-7 OVERS. REDIFF.COM SHOULD BE MORE INFORMATIVE,,,,REALLY DISSAPOINTING.

dhoondthe rah jaoge!

i searched entire indian express (south) for the vettori statement on sehwag- couldn't find; watched ndtv/times/cnn yesterday- no info.(anyone who could find this in any newspaper, pl. respond) had vettori told this about schin/yuvi/dhoni, it would have been the headline of indian express and more or less of any other news paper/media.

inference: if someone praises sehwag and you want to read it in the so called national media- dhoondthe rah jaaoge!

Yes records will be counted... infact every match record is counted despite the fact they are complete or incomplete ( Assigning NR - no result).

sachin bashing continues
by varun on Mar 07, 2009 01:21 AM  | Hide replies

When he doesn't play well he is criticized most of the times unfairly, like when he got 3 dubious decisions in lanka instead of sympathizing with him people blamed him to play with the bat, and suddenly there was something wrong in his technique as pointed out by several arm chair pundits here on rediff, If all these people had at least analyzed their own cricket as much they would have atleast scored 1000 runs in gully cricket, but after all it's sachin and we have taken him for granted, we sit in front of the tv and to forget all our frustrations we expect a lot of things from him and when he doesn't deliver we almost crucify him in public forums. And when he does deliver we still look for something which can demean his contributions and the most common crap people come up with is that he played slowly and played only for records, WTF is that all about. If people think that sachin played only for his records today then what about gambhir who scored at a lesser pace, did he also play for personal records? When we can accept a dhoni compromising his natural game for the sake of the team, why can't we accept the same by sachin? Why do we expect him to match viru stroke for stroke? There are very few players in the world who could match viru in this kind of form and sachin at this stage in his career can't do that and shouldn't do that. He is playing the role of a mentor to perfection. No matter what empty souls in this forum think, sachin's contribution to cricket is immense.

Good comment ! ... this man should have been given more respect.... The records are proofs on what he has done for India...... this is not fair for a person giving a consistent worldclass performance for about 2 decades ........ now what people want is either having him out or having him score centuries in every match .........

any good team is a mixture of young bloods, veteran warheads and at peak players .... Push the youngs , respect the experienced and cheer for the at peak players is the right attitute

It is here in New Zealand he opened an innings when Sidhu was sidelined to an injury and that innings I still consider as the best Tendulkar innings. Ferocious.

PRAVEEN KUMAR'S BOWLING IS THE REASON FOR INDIAS VICTORY
by nishu kutty on Mar 06, 2009 11:03 PM

At the fall of Brebdon Macullum’s wicket in the first ODI, Ravi Shasrtri was telling that it was a good catch by Harbhajhan Singh, but did not uttered a single word about the quality of Praveen Kumar’s bowling. Because of the pressure, put in the previous 4 balls, Mccullum went for the shot and he perished.
But, these Useless Indian commentators like Shastri, Arun Lal will praise the useless bowling of Irfan Pathan, but will sideline Praveen Kumar, Ojha etc.. Who are much more talented than Irfan Pathan.

Praveen Kumar has been and will be the cause of many more Indian victories to come. I hope that these IDIOTS agree it sooner than later.
