Well, there is substantial amount of politics...
by Siachen on Mar 04, 2009 11:46 AM

Terrorists were firing for half an hour ast their will. Not even a single Cricketer met with any serious injury. Driver was also not touched. Tyres of Bus were intact. If terrorism is the true terminology of this very so called carnage, they would have first fired at the Tyres; then the driver; taking the lives of some of the innocents. Nothing of this sort took place, which itself smacks of some amount of hatred politics.

terror in lahre
by Mookiah Iyengar on Mar 04, 2009 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

Is Mumbai is repeated in Lahore? If Pakistan's ISI is involved in Mumbai, then here too they had their hands. What say you India? Should US help the Pakis to get rid of terrorists in its soil? If yes, then the road to achieve this may go through Kashmir. Would India help?

India should be an strategic alley to US in this fight for terrorism. Of course this is my personal opinion.Any communists who may spurn this offer should look back at the erstwhile USSR policy in the WW II for cracking down Hitler.

produce knee jerk reaction on IPL and Commonwealth games. Just come to think of it India, SriLanka and Bangladesh and Pakistan were supposed to host the Next world cup, Pakistan is out. DO a reality check on the remaining countries they have their own puzzles to solve in Bangladesh and SriLanka and WOrld cup is the last thing in their mind. That leaves only India bamboozled by all that is happening around it. MAY BE NEUTRAL VENUE FOR WORLD CUP WOULD BE OBAMA's US

is more self serving politician than a cricketer. He assures you of rubbish. secondly remember the last time when India visited Pakistan Rediff carried photographs of Dhoni and some other cricketers having fun horse riding and shooting . One of the guys in their message had jokingly claimed that they can easily become sitting ducks for some lunatic terrorists. Now that turned out to be a prophecy. WHERE IS RANATUNGA AND IMRAN?

by baba joshi on Mar 04, 2009 11:02 AM  | Hide replies

First Include Death by terrorism cover for all existing Life insurance policy. All of them who have Life insurance cover should write to
1. IRDA
2. The respective insurance companies.
3.The finance ministry

To include death by terrorism as a cover in all the existing life insurance policy.

Brothers & Sisters Jago......even if you have a 1 crore term insurance and if you die by the terrorist bullet or bomb your dear family will not get anything. Your Premium paids will go in drain.

Pity their police force.
by bakbakkarthahoon on Mar 04, 2009 10:34 AM  | Hide replies

I pity the police force of Pakistan. They are the ones who get killed often. The army and ISI are immune from terror strikes since they were the ones who trained them and continue their covert assistance. But their police are fighting the terrorists each day with poor weapons and their investigations are always interfered by Army,ISI and the government's foreign policy. Perfect example yesterday when the police said it was similar to 26/11 including their training while their minister suspected foreign terrorists. One minister even mentioned RAW !!

A mutiny is needed in Pakistan by moderate islamists against the radicals. Else, our children will continue to read such news of attacks for generations.

Todays news captured one of their punjab police officers resigned unable to cope up with terrorism. Poor guy.

I agree Police seems to be easy targets with their outdated antique guns which are slightly better than the toy guns which my son uses. Terrorism has grown leaps and bounds as far their weaponry and technology is concerned, counter terrorism seems to be frozen in pre Independence era. IT would also make sense to ban GOOGLE EARTH in sub continent

Dear Editor, I agree with the view in general that the crux of the problem is terrorism but you canot wash your hands off the blood that is generated by politics only hatched, nurtured and perpretated by politicians only.
what else can be more heinous crime than this incident? Even after such occurance perhaps Mr Obama will continue to disburse US$100 bn to Pakistan to fight against Taliban going back from his own eloctoral assurances of no Military Help. I feel that money can be better utilised for African countries living much below the poverty line or to assist Banks and assurance companies in his own country.Even after this will the world community look for some more proofs that the Mumbai attack was hatched, planned and activated by Pakistani people.Enough of the gospels of Mr Gandhi, Budha, Martin Luther King and Jesus Christ. It is high time all assistance to Pakistan be stopped by U.S,A.& China. They do not have any administration of any kind. Pakistan be banished for five years from International cricket by I.C.C. Australia and New Zealand was much wiser in identifying the problem and deciding not to play with the lives of the players than the Sub-Continental Countries. B.C.C.I. should also take a decision with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to hold next world Cup amongst themselves excluding Pakistan-kumar

I couldn't agree with you more. You have said exactly what I also wanted to .
We don't even need to wage any war but simply isolate Pakistan from Cricket, Economic assistance and arms supply and will see the effects.

by bakbakkarthahoon on Mar 04, 2009 10:21 AM
You look confused. On one hand you dont want to blame pakistan and on the other you are blaming the pakistani government. From India point of view, how different are these two? Obviously you dont want us to participate in Pakistan election and change their government, do you?
