Luk at India News, Aaj tak, NDTV ETC., u will find the person presenting the show or reporting live from the stadium talks like he or she knows everything of the game....I agree with friends on this board that media should encourage our team, while they are defending their title, instead of pulling their legs and back stabbing them....From no where, news errupted that Shewag and Dhoni are at loggerheads, who have seen that any proof??? Some friends also have quoted on this board that why doesnot the Media lookout the situtation in the country after the general elections instead of roaming behind and talking useless of Indian Team...
The job of the players is to play .. the job of the captian is to lead his players to play .. the job of the administrative body (BCCI) is to take care of the admin related work, which includes briefing the media. Hence, Dhoni is absolutley correct in askng the media for a briefing from the BCCI over Shewag's fitness. Infact no players .. including the captian or the coach shud attend any press conferences. It is the BCCI media spokes person who shud handle the media in all aspects. The Coach, the Captain and the players shud only do what they are appointed to do .. coach, lead and play competitively. And the media .. they shud stop behaving irresponsibly and become mature. Irresponsible news .. just to sensationalise and to cash in is highly immature. As India (economically) and Indian Cricket (performancewise) is becoming quite strong and mature .. Indian media is moving backwards towards being weak, immature and insensitive (like we saw during 26/11 attack on India). So instead of "BREAKING NEWS" which are trivial, the media must give constructive news which have impact and which helps India go stronger on the path of progress. The media shud be playing the role of a watchdog .. instead the media now needs a watchdog to watch over it.
too much importance is being given to Dhoni by BCCI and board memebers.. he does not deserve this. Something is brewing between him and sehwag and for which sehwag is being sidelined.. This man dhoni is not that good for indian cricket if he continues this way..

Dear Himan, Yes he is too good. Otherwise he would not have overtaken Shewag, Yuvi to be the Captain of Team India. He is a cool customer. When even Tendulkar ( who is too good in any format of the game) why the press bothers about Shewag?No body is indispensable in the Team. If Shewag were unfit why the Board selected him for the tour?What Dhoni says is correct-he will look after the leading of the team and playing matches-concentrating on Cricket and the Board would take care of all the other administrative matters. Press can shut their mouth and stop speculating things.It is high time the Fourth Estate kept mum over strategical issues.

Ever Since Sehwag said he was dropped for CB series final against Australia and he was not injured as claimed by MSD the rift widened. Only Sehwag's brilliant batting kept him in the place. Once he was not doing well in the IPl MSD took revenge. MSD want to be a ring master and however one is powerful they have to bow in front of MSD. Let MSD sit for 6 months and India will still win. Greg Chappel's vision for younger generations yielding results now only and MSD riding on the young shoulders

....and Dhoni is also manipulating Sehwag's Surgery, Right?! Guys some of you behave like you have a grudge against a particular player. Why don't you let the players do their job and carry on. You are neither the selector nor the coach, so you may keep your trap shut
What did Dhoni say on the first day? That he's not aware of Sehwag's fitness. It is clear that he wouldn't as BCCI could decide on his fitness only y'day. So there was nothing wrong in Dhoni saying that. And Media, especially Times took offence to that and started acting like goons by posting articles every day on the issue and today on the main page. Shame that we have these kind of news agencies. I only hope that this doesn't impact our cricketers' performance in any way.
