Can't blame anyone....Dhoni Vs Media....
by amit khasgiwala on Jun 10, 2009 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

Hey Please read it and Reply...!!

I can understand each and everyone of you who write many things coz we can't do anything...Somebody from above said about Dhoni "there was no need to go 1 down" . I agree with him, but he is not a arrogant..He tried things differently which failed...Media?? Even I hate Media...but in this competetive market they have to create rubbish news even though they are the culprit...They don't even bother if you will say wrong about them coz they know "People have a right to say"..As far as Dhoni is concerned...Atleast he respond to the Media..He is doing his job by following the process...This is the duty of BCCI to talk about fitness...and not Dhoni...
Regards
Amit

It makes sense to experiment during the warm-up games (against NZ and Pak) and for the group games against teams like B'desh and Ireland which are not so strong. Hence, the team think tank have must have decided to send 1 down. I am sure, as this move seems to have failed .. Raina / Yuvi wud come 1- down for the super 8s and Dhoni wud start playing the role of a finisher along with Yusuf Pathan. The team think tank has the right to experiment and give flexibility to the team .. which also means that the opposition will never be sure who is going to come in to bat.

I think Indian Media needs a Jaago Re kind of campaign!

The Headlines Today reporter went crazy last night on live TV... he is reporting from England that Dhoni is behaving like a Dictator !!!!

These people use whatever words they like just for the sake of using them, and just because they have a mike. They have no watch dog mechanism and think they can blabber anything and everything.

HT is reporting this issue as if some national calamity has just happened... Shame on you...

MSD vs Indian media
by SR Hari on Jun 10, 2009 10:05 AM

I am sure media personnel from other nations must be enjoying the fun in the form of the duel between MSD and Indian media. In their over enthusiasm to get higher TRP ratings Indian media is going against the interests of the our own, national team and putting undue pressure on the captain and the players.

MSD was right in saying that BCCI would answer on the fitness of Viru appropriately. The media personnel must close the matter then and there and should mind their business.

I am bemused to read "Rediff.com was the first to break the news that Sehwag was ruled of the ICC World Twenty20 after failing to recover from a shoulder injury sustained during the Indian Premier League last month". So, what's the big deal in this rediff?

There are hundreds of other issues that need attention and you media people better spend your energies on highlighting those issues. Don't sensationalise anything done by MSD just for the heck of it. We all know how the media personnel work. If someone wants to know more on that, go and see madhur Bhandarkar's Page-3. Media personnel are equally corrupt like so many others and have no right to make issues like this.

Dhoni vs Indian media
by subrata mandal on Jun 10, 2009 10:02 AM

dhoni is undoubtedly a good indian captain so far. He is a genuis in his field and showing good talent by leading a world clsaa cricket team. India is winning lot of match under his captaincy.
we are areally shocked after seeing the news that there is something going on between him and shewag. this news we got from some of the nesw channel. this is ridiculous. our media persons are not having any hot news to show after the general election is over, they are sitting like without any worh.
they should show the positive side of the indian cricket, at this moment when the tournament is going on they should give coverage such topics/news which will encourage our cricketer.
One reporter in a leading bengali newspaper, cnntinuously blaming dhoni about is rift between dhoni and shewag. my question is that what he will get from this blame, by profession he may be a good reporter, but he should not have any right to discouagre our proud indian team.
I think despite all this we will retain the crown of t-20.
joy ho indian team

I THINK REALLY THE MEDIA ALWAYS NEED SOME HOT NEWS. DUE TO THIS THEY ARE INTERFERING IN UNWANTED ISSUES. 4 DAYS AGO THE WHOLE INDIAN TEAM CAME TO PRESS MEET AND SHOWN SOLIDARITY. AFTER THAT ALSO THEY ARE DOING NONSENSE, WHICH REALLY CAUSES TENSION IN THE INDIAN PLAYERS DRESSING ROOM, WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR THE TEAM, SINCE THEY ARE PLAYING WORLD CUP.

WHCT DHONI DID IS EXACTLY RIGHT.

Emergency must be enforced and all the reporters of TV news channels sent to jail till the end of T20 world cup.Only then the Indian team play peacefully.

Why India will find it difficult to win ?
by Surya Prakash on Jun 10, 2009 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

Things dont augur well in the prevailing situation. On one side the Indian media as always are hungry for some sensational news to up their TRPs and dont care a damn if their news is good for Indian cricket or not. On the other side, Dhoni's arrogance is clearly visible the way he handles media these days and also his on-field decisions. Where was the need to promote himself to No.3 when we have Suresh Raina and Yuvraj who are far beeter batsman than Dhoni. His attitude is typically like when we used to play cricket in our school days. Whoever used to be the capatain used to go out to bat first and bowl first since he used to call the shots. Dhoni is no different. Due to this attitude, there is discontent in the Indian team. I am not sure he has handled guys like Sehwag, Yuvraj properly. The result will be that we will find it difficult to defend the Twenty20 crown.

no. 3 to bring in stability so that yuvraj and raina can go nuts in the last 5-6 overs. media deserves whatever treatment it gets because it is most corrupt entity in India. Sehwag was injured and that is why he went home, dhoni or anybody else had nothing to do with it.

As long as Dhoni is the Captain, he calls the shots. If anyone has a problem with that have him replaced. Till then he is the boss!

But what is the big crime that Dhoni has committed? Our media has a greed for sensationalising every piece of information they get. Do they mean that evey time Dhoni is pissing or shitting, the media should be informed? Ridiculous.
